We got to visit two great designers in their homes and this was just so inspiring. We payed a visit to the home of Michael Verheyden and the home and studio of Roel Van de Beek.

Having this blog, I’m always looking for the nicest interiors and to be able to take a peak inside these talented designers’ homes was really inspiring. We got to take a peak in Michael Verheyden’s workspace and over coffee he told us his story of how he grew his company to the size it has today without employing so many people (it’s him, his wife and some seasonal employees doing most of the work).

Roel Van De Beek showed us around in his workspace and beautiful home (seen in the first picture) where he lives with his wife and children. He showed us a glimpse of his work, which spans over many different areas. He approaches design from the need of solving a problem, which over the years, brought him to design chairs, church interiors, porcelain and works of art for a hospital. At his home we were having coffee and cake out of Roel’s own tableware by the way, so beautiful.

To read more about our Bloggers tour and the places we visited, have a look at the website. We visited so many inspiring design companies, had dinner in Michelin star restaurant Chuchara and were staying in three of the Different Hotels. It was an amazing three days, organised by Christophe and Christiaan from Comosie.
