My collection of glassware on our white cabinet is starting to grow. I recently found two old chemistry flasks while I was thrifting in Belgium. I like how the room and windows reflect in all these different glass curves and surfaces. I also placed the &Tradition raft stool with my new Plug Lamp from Atelje Lyktan in front. For now it will stay here, I like how it looks in front of the white and leather of the cabinet. By the way, did I ever mention that my boyfriend made that cabinet himself ? It was his first carpenter adventure and I think he did a great job !

Mijn glas collectie op onze witte kast is aan het uitbreiden Toen ik in België op jacht was naar vintage schatten heb ik deze twee oude chemie flesjes op de kop kunnen tikken. Ik vind het mooi hoe de ruimte refelcteerd in de verschillende bollingen en oppervlakten van het glas. Ik heb voorlopig ook de &Tradition raft stoel met daarop de mooie nieuwe Plug Lamp van Atelje Lyktan voor het witte kastje gezet, dat geeft een mooi contrast. By the way, had ik jullie ooit al verteld dat mijn vriend at kastje zelf heeft gemaakt ? Het was zijn eerste houtbewerkings avontuur en ik vind dat hij het heel goed heeft gedaan !
Last week I had the opportunity to style and photograph this beautiful Berlin apartment with big windows and light beaming in from both sides. The living room was this big open space with windows covering the entire wall. I picked the Como table and Vela sofa from Bolia which went very nicely together with the color of the floor. I like the simple and clean lines of the coffee table a lot and they contrasted very nicely with the curvy Normann Copenhagen Knot Chair, available at Minimum.
Next to the couch I placed some frames with artwork from Playtype and Studio Esinam and my &tradition raft stool with the Plug lamp from Atelje Lyktan. This lamp is designed by Form us with Love and it really was what this living room needed. I use it home as well and it has served its purpose for phone charging already many times, as we always tend to run out of plugs.
For the dining table, I used the Buk table legs from Normann Copenhagen. They are just so beautiful and I was surprised to see how easy they are to assemble. They are super sturdy as well, something I’m often in doubt about with table legs. On their website they combine it with a wooden top, which is very nice, but in this home I wanted to contrast it with a white top to reflect all the light coming in from the big windows. Around the table I combined some vintage chairs with the Modern Muuto Visu chair, also available from Minimum. I like this contrast of old and new. Above the dining and coffee table, you can see the subtle Frama lights in copper and white. I had been eying on the Diamond bulb for a while and was excited to use it in this styling.
In the bedroom you can see a soft grey bed with bedding from Mikmax, which I combined with a small workspace with some vintage finds. I like how the soft grey from the fabric and the wood from the desk go together. Above the bed you can see a set of new palm prints I’m currently working on. They will be appearing in my shop soon, together with the abstract black print above the sofa.

Vorige week had ik de mogelijkheid om een mooi Berlijns appartement met grote ramen in te richten en te fotograferen. Er kwam veel licht binnen van beide kanten en de living was een grote open ruimte. Ik koos de Como salon tafel en de Vela sofa van Bolia die beiden heel goed samen gingen met de houten vloer. De simpele lijnen van de salon tafel vind ik heel mooi en ze contrasteerden ook mooi met de ronde vormen van de Copenhagen Knot Chair.
Naast de zetel gebruikte ik kaders met posters van Playtype en Studio Esinam en mijn &tradition raft stoeltje met daarop de mooi Plug lamp van Atelje Lyktan. Deze lamp is ontworpen door ‘Form us with Love’ en was helemaal wat deze leefruimte nodig had. Ik gebruik hem in onze woning ook en hij heeft ook al vaak dienst gedaan om mijn telefoon op te laden. Wij hebben nooit genoeg stopcontacten.
Voor de tafel in de eetkamer gebruikte ik de Buk table legs van Normann Copenhagen. Die waren zo mooi en ik was ervan verbaasd hoe snel en makkelijk ze te monteren waren. Ze zijn ook heel stevig, iets waarover ik vaak twijfel bij aparte tafelbenen. Op hun website worden de benen met een houten tafelblad gecombineerd, wat ook mooi is, maar hier combineerde ik ze met een wit tafelblad om zo veel mogelijk licht te reflecteren. Rond de tafel verzamelde ik vintage stoelen gecombineerd met de Muuto Visu stoel. Ik hou van deze combinatie van oud en nieuw. Boven de eettafel en het salon kan je de subtiele lampen van Frama zien in koper en wit. Ik had al langer een oogje op de Diamond bulb en was blij om ze in deze styling te kunnen gebruiken.
In de slaapkamer kan je een zacht grijs bed zien met textiel van Mikmax, wat ik gecombineerd heb met de kleine werkplaats met vintage accessoires. Ik vind dat de zacht grijze stof heel mooi samen gaat met de kleuren van de kleine bureau. Boven het bed kan je een set Palm posters zien waar ik momenteel aan het werken ben en boven de sofa nog een abstracte print. Ze zullen binnenkort ook in mijn shop te verkrijgen zijn.

Eén van de voorbije dagen experimenteerde ik met een paar dingen die ik thuis had liggen. Ik vind het leuk hoe de verschillende materialen, texturen en kleuren eruit zien tegen het zachte hout op de achtergrond.
Last week I did another styling for Fantastic Frank. This time I had the opportunity to style a lovely spacious penthouse. The apartment was very bright with big windows leading to balconies on both sides of the home. Light came in from all angles, which made it perfect for shooting.
The living room was one of my favorite areas. It was light, airy, and had a beautiful cylindrical black fireplace. For this styling, I used furniture from Muuto, Hay, e15 and Vitra from Minimum. These timeless design pieces fit great in this spacious environment. I like the way it turned out and am actually thinking about buying the grey upholstered ‘About a chair’ myself.
The two big posters in the living room are from Studio Esinam’s elevation series. These beautiful architectural drawings capture the essence of different cities, now also including Berlin. If you pay close attention, in one of the shots you can see the Berlin TV tower in the poster and the actual tower through the window.
I put most plants inside the beautiful and functional paper bags from Uashmama, which I also use in my own place. I really like using them to a give new and textured look to ordinary plant pots. There are also two big sized ones on the living room. As you can see, they are great to store practically anything.
In the bedroom I used a blanket, sheets and pillows from Mikmax. The textiles are super soft and come in different shades of grey with a really nice mix of textures. They make the bed look so soft and inviting that it was difficult to resist taking a nap.

Vorige week werkt ik aan mijn nieuwste styling voor Fantastic Frank. Deze keer kreeg ik de kans om een mooie grote penthouse in te richten. De woning had ramen met balkons aan beide kanten, waardoor er veel licht naar binnen straalde, wat natuurlijk perfect was voor de shoot.
De living was één van mijn favoriete plekjes. De ruimte was ruim en licht en in het midden stond er een ronde open haard. Voor de styling gebruikt ik meubels van Muuto, Hay, e15 en Vitra van Minimum. Deze tijdloze design meubelen pasten heel mooi in de grote ruimte. Ik vind het resultaat heel mooi en ik overweeg om voor mezelf ook een grijze ‘About a chair’ met zitkussen aan te schaffen.
De twee grote posters in de living zijn van de laatste ‘elevations’ serie van Studio Esinam. Deze mooie architectuur tekeningen stellen de essentie van verschillende steden voor. De Berlijnse poster is pas vorige week verschenen. Als je goed kijkt, zie je in één van de foto’s de Berlijnse TV toren getekend op de poster en de echte TV toren door het raam heen.
Ik presenteerde de meeste planten in de mooie en functionele papieren zakken van Uashmama, die ik ook in onze woning gebruik. Ik gebruik ze vooral om een nieuwe look te geven aan oude planten potjes, daar zijn ze echt perfect voor. Je kan ook twee grotere versies van de zakken zien in de living. Zoals je kan zien kunnen deze gebruikt worden om allerhande dingen in op te bergen.
In de slaapkamer gebruikte ik een deken, donsovertrek en kussen van Mikmax. Deze stoffen zijn super zacht en zijn verkrijgbaar in verschillende grijstinten en een mooi mix van texturen. Ze doen het bed er zo zacht uitzien, ik moest me inhouden om ter plaatse geen dutje te doen.

Over the weekend I styled some pictures for the beautiful Bococo pillows. These pillows are screen printed in the Philippines and are an interpretation of traditional textiles. I love the modern twist to this design and certainly like this color combo on my couch as well.

Vorig weekend stylde ik een paar foto’s voor de mooie Bococo kussens. De kussens worden gezeefdrukt in de Filipijnen en zijn een interpretatie van traditionele textielen. Ik vind het leuk dat er een moderne twist aan gegeven werd en hou van de kleuren combinatie in onze zetel.
Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Vipp flagship store in Copenhagen along with 12 other European bloggers. In the morning we had an introduction to flower arrangements given by Louise Moestrup. I was very new to this, but managed to make a flower ball and a table arrangement in the end (that’s me there in the last picture concentrating on my piece behind the bins – top secret work you know).
After that, we had a fun styling competition, where we had to style a bathroom, kitchen and a table setting in teams. I was in a team with Marianne Jacobsen and Edina Sæther, which was a lot of fun. The first three pictures are the result of our stylings.
The styling with most likes on Vipp’s instagram will win so if you like the result of our styling, I would of course be very happy if you press the heart button ! The winning photo will be announced on the 18th of June.

Vorige week werd ik uitgenodigd bij Vipp in Copenhagen samen met 12 andere Europese bloggers. In de voormiddag kregen we een introductie bloemschikken van Louise Moestrup. Dit was iets wat ik eigenlijk nog nooit gedaan had, maar ik slaagde er toch in om een bloemenbal en een tafelstukje in elkaar te steken (je kan me in de laatste foto achter de pedaalemmers zien concentreren – top secret werk he).
Daarna was er een styling wedstrijd georganiseerd waar we in team een keuken, badkamer en tafel moesten stylen. In mijn team zaten Marianne Jacobsen en Edina Sæther, een leuk groepje. Op de eerste drie foto’s kan je de resulaten zien van ons werk.
De styling met de meeste likes op Vipp’s instagram wint de wedstrijd. Als jullie onze styling mooi vinden, zou ik het natuurlijk heel erg apprecieren moesten jullie de heart-button klikken op onze foto’s. De winnende foto zal worden bekend gemaakt op 18 juni.
Last weekend I did another Fantastic Frank styling in a beautiful Friedrichshain apartment. The space was big, light and had the cutest balcony (where you see me poring some tea in the first picture).
For this project I worked together with the German furniture company Conmoto (they have a nice showroom in Berlin if you are around and want to have a look). They often work together with renowned designers like Werner Aisslinger – of whom you can see the Pad table and Chairman chair in the workspace. He won a red dot design award for this collection earlier this year. The couch and coffee table in the living room are designed by Marie Schmid-Schweiger. I like the effect of the strong clean lines of the furniture against the soft wooden floor and the old windows. The ladder in the living room is a DIY project from here I have been wanting to try out, but never had enough space for in our own flat.
In the workspace I combined the fresh Pad collection with an old type writer, the Milk lamp designed by Normfor &Tradition and the lovely leather straps designed by Mathilda Clahr. I have been playing around with those in my own home and like the endless possibilities of these hangers. I’m already thinking about where to hang them next.
I kept the bedroom quite simple since it was so nice on its own already. To accentuate the details of the ceiling, I hung up the gorgeous Bergman Light. You can shape the lamp however you like it and add any kind of E27 bulbs you like – a real eye catcher in a tall space like this one !
In the kitchen I placed an &Tradition raft chair (also designed by Norm) in front of a very simple table, in combination with the beautiful kitchen textiles from Saana Ja Olli and some Vipp ceramics, which made it all a little bit more playful.

Last weekend I did another styling for Fantastic Frank in Berlin and the location was absolutely wonderful. The space was located at Prenzlauer Berg, one of my favourite spots. It had light wooden floors, high ceilings and lots of light beaming in through large windows.
For this project I was thrilled to collaborate with the Berlin based design company Llot Llov. Their furniture and lighting are absolutely gorgeous. One of my favorite pieces is the beautiful woolen Matt and Ray lights. As you can see in the pictures, these lights have really long cables that you can play with and tangle to create beautiful shapes. It gives the whole space a unique signature.
For the kitchen table, I used the Clark desk — known for it’s ingenious way of storing paperwork. I set it up for breakfast using the soft and beautifully shaped porcelain brunch-sets from Vipp. I’ve had the set for a while now and love how the smooth surface feels while enjoying a cup of coffee.
In the bedroom I created other interesting shapes with two long chorded Llot Llov lamps. I mixed my fun woolen tangles with a light bed cover and two beautiful Villi Pohjola pillows from Saana Ja Olli. I think the contrast worked really well.
To complement the styling I also created some new prints with high contrast geometric shapes. I’m so pleased with the results that I will most probably also make them available in my shop soon.

Vorig weekend heb ik nog eens styling gedaan voor Fantastic Frank hier in Berlijn. De locatie in Prenzlauer Berg is één van mijn favoriete plekjes. De ruimte had lichte houten vloeren, hoge plafonds en hele grote ramen waardoor het licht naar binnen straalde.
Ik kon voor dit project samenwerken met het Berlijnse design bedrijf Llot Llov, die prachtige meubels en lampen produceert. Eén van mijn favoriete stukken zijn de wollen lampen Matt en Ray. Zoals jullie kunnen zien op de foto’s, hebben deze lampen hele lange kabels die mooi kunnen worden geknoopt. Dit gaf de ruimte een uniek effect.
Voor de keuken tafel gebruikte ik de Clark desk — eigenlijk bekend door zijn originele manier om papieren weg te bergen. Ik maakte er voor de gelegenheid een ontbijttafel van met de mooie porseleinen brunch sets van Vipp. Ik heb de sets nu al een tijdje en vind het echt leuk hoe de zachte buitenkant in je hand voelt voor een warm kopje koffie.
In de slaapkamer creeerde ik nog een interessante vorm met twee Llot Llov lampen. Ik mengde de speelse wollen knopen met de grafische kussens van Saana Ja Olli. Ik vind dat dat contrast heel goed werkt.
Om de styling aan te vullen, ontwierp ik ook een paar nieuwe prints met contrasterende geometrische elementen. Ik ben zo blij met het resultaat dat ik ze binnenkort ook zal toevoegen aan mijn shop.

Vorige week heb ik nog een appartement ingericht voor Fantastic Frank hier in Berlijn. Het was een gemeubeld appartement deze keer, en ik heb me uiteraard helemaal kunnen uitleven aan het grote String rek in de slaapkamer.
Last week I had the pleasure to do a styling for a Fantastic Frank apartment in Berlin. Like many of you, I have always been a fan of their work — as you might have seen from the number of their pictures in this blog.
This was my first collaboration with Fantastic Frank, and it was great. I am very happy with the results and excited to share them with you.
It was great to style this all white and brightly lit apartment. It felt like getting a clean white canvas to fill up with objects, prints and furniture of my choice. I went for a very clean and simple styling with my current favorite objects. I even had the opportunity to try out my latest print project ‘Mountain ABC’, which I hope to share with you soon.
I love how the photographs turned out and how the space emphasized the decoration by mirroring it on the smooth white floors. Looking forward to my next styling with Fantastic Frank. Hope you enjoyed seeing this one as much as I enjoyed working on it.

Vorige week had ik de mogelijkheid een appartement in te richten in Berlijn voor Fantastic Frank. Zoals velen onder jullie, ben ik een grote fan van hun werk — zoals je kan zien aan de vele foto’s van hen op deze blog.
Dit was mijn eerste samenwerking met Fantastic Frank en het was geweldig. Ik ben heel blij met de resultaten en enthousiast om ze met jullie te delen.
Het was leuk om deze lichte, witte ruimte te stylen. Het voelde als een leeg wit canvas, dat ik kon opvullen met objecten, prints en meubelen naar mijn keuze. Ik ben gegaan voor een eenvoudige stijl met mijn favoriete objecten. Ik had zelfs de mogelijkheid om mijn nieuwste print ‘Mountain ABC’ uit te proberen, die ik snel met jullie hoop te delen.
Ik ben heel blij met het resultaat van de foto’s en hoe de ruimte de objecten deed opvallen door de reflectie op de witte vloer. Ik kijk al uit naar mijn volgende styling met Fantastic Frank. Ik hoop dat jullie de foto’s mooi vinden. Ik heb in ieder geval veel plezier beleefd met dit project.
