Bedroom walls in petrol blue were a big trend around 2 years ago and you would see so many of them. I always liked them and I think they really didn’t go out of style yet. What I love about such a dark color (though you have to have the right space for it, with enough natural light) is how nicely things contrast against it. Look at the beige linen bedding*, the green plants, or even the linen bathrobe*. They all stand out so nicely against that deep petrol blue color on the wall.

I’m a huge fan of Emma Fisher’s styling work and she recently completed a catalog styling for Ellos’ new collection. She worked with different neutral settings and textures in both a light and dark setup. I love the setup with the dark wall especially, so contrasting !

I can’t get over the wall colors in this home. They are not that shouting or daring, but I love the way they are combined. The pale pink bedroom walls come peeking through the light grey living room. The pink is very subtle, yet adds such elegance to this home.

The decor itself was kept mainly in light colors, with darker accents in both the kitchen and the dining room. I love the light beige couch cover* combined with the white armchair and light grey carpet. In the bedroom, everything is very light and white as well, which makes the black pieces stand out very nicely.

This is a very simple and small bedroom, yet the carefully chosen decorations and details make this place very cozy and characterful. I love the way the textiles on the bed are combined and make the whole room more finished. 

The sheer white linen curtains* combined with the linen detail on the lamp and the white bedskirt* give everything a soft touch and give the room a perfect canvas for the soft color details in the mint green duvet*, the beige throw*.

The textiles do a lot to this room in general, but tings like the beige canvas and the small brass side lamps really stand out as well.
