I can totally imagine myself spending some Christmas days in this cozy apartment. When it comes to Christmas decoration for me, it’s all in the details rather than in the bedazzling. I like the hints here and there: the stocking on the window, little tree on the coffee table and mistletoe on the doorway. Then there are of course the more obvious hints like the big tree (though barely decorated) and the ‘let it snow’ wall, which even though less subtle blend in perfectly in the interior.

And lastly I have to say I’m a bit jealous of the gingerbread cookies. I tried them this weekend and my creation was far less aesthetically pleasing to say the least.

Ik kan me helemaal inbeelden om een paar kerstdagen in dit gezellige appartement door te brengen. Wanneer het om kerstversiering gaat ben ik helemaal voor de details en niet zo voor het compleet bedekken (bestaat er een Nederlands woord voor Bedazzle ? Laat het me alsjeblieft weten, dan kan ik dat aan mijn woordenschat toevoegen). Ik kan de kerst-hints in deze foto’s wel apprecieren: de sok aan het raam, de kleine boom op de salontafel en de maretak in de deuropening. Dan zijn er natuurlijk ook de opvallend grote kerstboom (hoewel nog steeds subtiel versierd) en de ‘let it snow’ muur die – hoewel iets minder subtiel- ook heel goed passen in het interieur.

Als laatste moet ik ook zeggen dat ik jaloers ben op de mooie kerstkoekjes. Ik heb ze ook geprobeerd dit weekend en mijn creatie was geen streling voor het oog om het zacht uit te drukken.
