Modern design in a turn of the century home

This project done by Swedish Refine Design Studio landed in my inbox a few days ago and I just had to share this inspiring interior with you. The 120sqm space has great 19th century details, which were combined with modern design aesthetics for a family returning home from living abroad.

The open space living room and kitchen is both clean looking and cozy because of the different textiles that were used. I love the large area rug combined with the velvet armchairs for a luxurious look. The bedrooms have a very clean and minimal look. I’m inspired by the combination of both the ceiling and wall lamps in the master bedroom, this has such an impressive effect don’t you think ?
