The new Oona rug by Normann Copenhagen is a range of three hand knotted rugs with a simple and graphic feel; a play between shapes and contrasts. Designer Simon Legald explains about the rugs: ”I have tried to create a rug where it is primarily the shape that makes it decorative. I have added a sharp line, which is a simple detail that accentuates the shape by creating asymmetry and works as a visual contrast to the soft rounded edges.” My favorite is the grey one. De nieuwe reeks Oona tapijten van Normann Copenhagen bestaat uit drie handgeknoopte tapijten met een simpele en grafische touch. Een speelse twist van vormen en contrasten. Designer Simon Legald legt uit: ” Ik heb geprobeerd een tapijt te ontwerpen waarbij de vorm centraal staat in het design. Ik heb een scherpe lijn toegevoegd: een simpel detail dat de vorm accentueert door asymmetrie te creëren. De lijn functioneert ook als een visueel contrast met de zachte ronde randen“.
