In & Outdoor rug from Benuta on my balcony

My balcony has seriously been a lifesaver during lockdown times. I like to take a walk in the afternoon to get some fresh air every day, but apart from that I’m pretty much in my apartment all day and it’s so refreshing to be able to chill out here or even work from my laptop when the weather allows it.

I’m a big fan of textiles to finish of an interior and this is no different on my balcony. I feel like a balcony should really be an extension of your interior and it should be just as cozy and inviting. Last week, I got a very special delivery from Benuta: The Metro indoor and outdoor rug, which really finishes off the look in the lounge area of my balcony. I love to be barefoot in the summer and its so much nicer to place your feet on a beautiful rug.

My balcony is covered, but still gets dirty and wet during rain so it’s crucial that the furniture is easy to clean.  The Metro rug can endure weather changes and rain and is very easy to clean with water, or with a mild detergent when necessary. I don’t want to be worried about leaving things on my balcony, so this really is a perfect solution as the synthetic fibres of the rug are hard-wearing, robust and long-lasting, which is absolutely necessary considering German weather.

I’ve used the Metro rug on my balcony for a soft and cozy look, but this beautiful piece is also suitable for indoor use. It’s especially loved by pet-owners and can easily be used in the kitchen as well thanks to its durability and ease of cleaning. I selected the white Metro design, as I wanted to lighten up this space. It has a beautiful striped texture which makes it look interesting and I love the way it matches the fresh green of the plants and the darker sofa I have in this corner.
