In my home, I like my furniture to be modest and simple in design, allowing the freedom to work with accessories to personalise, be a little bolder or add a personal touch. I tend to go with a similar approach when dressing myself as well. For my clothes I usually tend to go for simple designs that combine easily and then I like to work with the right jewellery pieces to finish things off and make the outfit special.
In the past few weeks I got to try out the new CURVE collection designed by Regitze Overgaard for Georg Jensen and it’s exactly what I’m usually looking for in jewellery: modest in design, yet such statement pieces when you have them on.
The CURVE ring was designed in 2006 and is one of the most loved jewellery designs from the Georg Jensen collection. It has stood the test of time and its futuristic lines present a classic, elegant design ready for contemporary interpretation. The new CURVE collection extends the design of the ring, which is both soft and bold at the same time, to bangles, necklaces, rings, pendants and earrings.
What I personally love about the CURVE collection is that the pieces are suitable for different occasions depending on how you combine them. To me, the bangle and earrings are perfect for everyday use, as they are very subtile and elegant. The ring and necklace can be added to go to an event or dinner party for a more bold addition to your outfit. The sterling silver of the pieces has a certain glow to it because of the rounded curves, wich I didn’t see on any other jewellery piece before. Some of the pieces also come in a 18kt gold version and some combine both sterling silver and 18kt gold for more of a statement look and extra dimension.
Wether you wear just one subtil CURVE piece or combine bolder pieces together, the voluptuous form and organic lines of the design enhanced by the reflection of the material is what stands out in this exquisite design.
This blogpost was created in collaboration with Georg Jensen, however all opinions are my own of course. If you would like to know more about the brand and the CURVE collection, have a look on their website.
