Minimalist bedroom with white walls

Grey bedding with warm throw pillows in a minimalist bedroom with white walls

This beautiful minimalist bedroom has been made cozy, characterful, and inviting with mostly neutral tones and a few dark tones combined with warm elements. The white walls of this beautiful bedroom reflect the natural light coming in from the windows and complement the white-washed wooden flooring resulting in a modest elegance with the focal point above the bed.

Eye-catching lighting in a minimalist bedroom

When you leave the walls white and work only with a few muted shades in the interior design, you can be slightly bolder in the lighting design. The Benitier silk ceiling light from Gong is the perfect example of a lighting fixture that’s also a point of visual interest and a true masterpiece addition to a perfect minimalist bedroom. On the side table next to the bed you can find a felt lamp made by Swedish Studio Lampent which complements the gray palette around the bed so nicely.

A vintage desk in contrast with the minimal space

The dark wood of the vintage desk really stands out next to the sheer curtains (available here*) that filter the daylight coming in. The restrained palette of the grey textiles on the bed comes back at the desk with the beautiful grey office chair.

Crisp bedding for an airy feel

The bed is decorated with a grey linen duvet cover with a subtle stripe, and a mixture of brown and beige throw pillows in the same color family as the art print. The muted tones of the textiles combined with the impressive autumn branch result in a serene space and a great example of modern minimalism that still looks cozy and inviting. The grey wool area rug turns this minimalist bedroom area into its own little space, by visually separating it from the rest of the room.

Artworks as the focal point above the bed and vintage desk

The clean lines, minimalist vibe, and relatively monochromatic color palette make this minimalist bedroom into a very serene space, yet also minimalist bedrooms need something special: a focal point that immediately grabs your attention when you come into the room. At the bed, this is the beautiful artwork in warm colors and the same effect is achieved above the vintage desk as well. Other than these two artworks, the minimalist feel has been kept with fairly empty walls.
