Only a handful of people would be able to live in such a beautiful piece of turn-of-the-century architecture and as much as I love interiors in more ‘normal’ homes, every once in a while I love to dwell on the possibilities of one day owning (and especially decorating) such a masterpiece of an apartment. This Swedish home has a tower room (the bedroom), beautiful windows, and wonderful skirting in all rooms, which I’m not sure if it’s original, but it looks great nevertheless.
I think it’s a great choice to keep all the walls white and in different tints of beige and grey. This way the skirting, doorways, and built-ins really stand out. The kitchen is a custom-built shaker design with a marble countertop and chrome details which matches the style of the apartment perfectly. The island in the middle works great with these black bar stools and the round dining table with the vintage bentwood chairs looks like it’s made for this area next to the doors.
There is a designated dining room (again, something only a handful of people have in the city) which is such a luxury and the apartment has three bedrooms. The main bedroom has been decorated in tints of beige, with beige curtains to soften out the look and I love the wall-to-wall wardrobe against the wall which matches the style of the kitchen.
