Vipp Pencil Factory

Danish design brand Vipp has recenlty transformed a 100-year old pencil factory into a social dining room called the Supper Club. Interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard made sure to keep the exsisting features of the original factory building, while also creating a homey feeling that is cozy and inviting. The new V2 kitchen is the center of the attention in this 400m2 factory space, next to a long dining table that can comfortably seat 26 people.

A supper club refers to an underground restaurant which typically incorporates musical acts to complement the atmosphere. I think this interior is the perfect setting for a gathering around some good food and music don’t you think? I love the way the concert piano takes the stage in this interior and next to the kitchen and the dining table this would be a third powerful element of interest in the space. The cozy dining area in a mixture of materials is enhanced with different pieces of art and I love the way the open shelving functions as a divider between areas.
