Cozy home with character and personality

Are you a minimalist? I don’t like to keep stuff that I don’t need or like, but in decorating I’m not exactly a minimalist. I like to make things cozy and work with lots of small accessories to add character and personality to my home and I can get the same vibe from this beautiful Swedish studio home.

The kitchen and living area are located in the same room, where the large and fluffy area rug has been used to divide the two areas. I love the way the textiles work together in the sofa area. The beige of the sofa pairs up so nicely with the rug and the sheepskin on the armchair, which is finished off perfectly with the sheer white linen curtains* on the windows. The black kitchen adds a lot of contrast to this space and note the upper cabinets are kept white for a lighter look, which makes a lot of sense in this rather small space. The vintage dining table fits this corner perfectly as well and I love the combination with the white Menu afteroom chairs and the black DCW Editions Mantis wall lamp.

The small bedroom has two smart built-in storage solutions and I love the way the black wall mimics the black palette of the kitchen. The little bench in combination with the oval mirror works really nicely as well and I love the way the mirror reflects the black wall.

Lastly, in the hallway we can find a really smart storage solution behind the mirror. We usually need a mirror in the hallway, so it’s very smart to integrate it in the door behind which the wardrobe is hidden.
