This beautiful Swedish apartment features a black and white kitchen that has been built in the same space as the living room for an open plan layout that makes smart use of the kitchen island to separate the functional areas.
The mainly white look of the living kitchen is enhanced with subtle black accents and natural wood tones in the furniture. The bedroom on the other hand has a deep dark blue wall that sets this space apart from the rest of the apartment.
A minimal dining and living room with white walls
The living room has a minimal appearance with white walls and white built-ins combined with white-soaped hardwood flooring for a light look. The round white dining table combined with the warm wood wishbone chairs and the bar stools in the same color gives this white space a little bit of warmth.
The custom-built TV cabinet goes over into the white marble kitchen island and breakfast bar. Making both surfaces flow into each other, has a very integrated effect on the room.
The XL wall mirror adds extra dimension to the dining area and it reflects the daylight coming in through the balcony window.
On the other side of the living room, a custom desk is hidden behind a curtain. The desk area consists of floating shelving and a floating surface for the desk itself, which is an elegant solution for this area next to the sofa.
A black and white kitchen with marble countertops
The minimal kitchen with white kitchen cabinets is combined with black hardware and a chrome faucet for a contrasting look. The kitchen is built on a rather small surface, so a combination of both upper and lower cabinets is used to ensure ample storage space.
One large ceiling-high kitchen cupboard is used by the window, which includes the appliances all on top of each other. Additionally, more storage space is provided on the backside of the kitchen island.
In the corner by the window an additional small dining table is placed which can be used for having coffee in the morning.
Dark blue walls in the bedroom
The bedroom has a deep blue wall color combined with black curtains that give the space a little bit of a moody effect. The black and white kitchen cabinets are brought back into the custom-built bedroom wardrobe, which is spread over the length of the entire bedroom wall.
The black Vertigo lamp fits perfectly underneath these high ceilings and adds another contrasting touch of black to the space.
The white historic fireplace and the white armchair really stand out against the dark blue wall color. The white trim underneath the ceiling is a nice touch and it makes the ceilings seem higher.
Sage green walls and white marble in the bathroom
The bathroom combines a rich color and material palette with a dark sage green wall color as the base for this look. The shower and bathroom floor have been finished with white marble tiles and the brass wall lamps and bathroom fixtures add an elegant touch to the space.
The sink module has a white marble countertop, which has been paired up with a dark wood drawer module with gold hardware that adds a warm touch to the bathroom.
