This turn-of-the-century Swedish apartment with beige shaker kitchen cabinets has been painted completely with an off-white wall color, which adds a subtle warm tone to the elegant interior.
The interior design is modest yet stylish, with a few eye-catching elements like the cobalt blue painting in the bedroom, the blue paint color in the hallway, and the yellow tones in the living room that enhance the modest wall color.
A living room in a modest palette with eye-catching artwork
The beige and wood tones in the living room complement the subtle warm tones. in the off-white walls nicely. The modest combination of fabrics and soft furnishings accentuates the eye-catching yellow painting on the wall above the linen sofa.
On the other side of the living room, a large art print of a bird takes up all the attention and the red table lamp adds a subtle color to the modest palette.
A dining area next to a historic fireplace decorated with a wall rug
The oak dining table and chairs fit wonderfully next to the white historic fireplace and the wall-hung rug adds the perfect texture to enhance this corner of the living space.
Beige shaker kitchen cabinets and chrome hardware
The beige-white shaker kitchen cabinets are only a few shades darker than the kitchen walls, which complement each other in a nice way. The white marble countertops and the chrome hardware add a fresh touch to the classic kitchen, while the farmhouse sink and the classic hood cover complete the look perfectly.
The kitchen looks out onto a small balcony where you can eat or have coffee on warmer days.
The classic shaker kitchen in farmhouse style is enhanced by a modern art print with blue tones, which brightens up the otherwise modest palette in this space.
Minimal bedroom decor with off-white walls
The bedroom has a very minimal yet cozy design, with a modest warm touch because of the off-white wall color in the space. The warm undertones in the wall color make the white doors and door frames stand out nicely and the same color as the walls also comes back in the linen bedsheets on the bed.
The wood bedside tables add a bit more warmth to the setup while the gold and white wall lamp adds an elegant finishing touch to the bed.
The minimal bedroom design is enhanced by a vintage wardrobe, which has been painted in a sage green color, and an eye-catching cobalt blue artwork that really stands out against the warm off-white wall color in the space.
A hallway painted in a blue wall color
The hallway doesn’t have any direct daylight, which makes it darker, and instead of trying to change this, the darker blue wall color accentuates this darker space in a nice way. The white rice-paper shade, white door frames, and the white painted shelving contrast wonderfully with the blue wall color which has also been applied to the ceiling in this space.
A combination of open and closed storage space fill the hallway and I love that the custom solution for jackets also includes a built-in mudroom bench underneath which shoes can be stored away.
A contrasting bathroom design with a black floor and white tiled walls
The subtle contrast between the black floor tiles and the white subway wall tiles in this classy bathroom works very nicely. The wall tiles don’t go all the way up to the ceiling, leaving part of the wall bare, which has been painted in a very subtle white with green undertones, adding a fresh touch to the space.
The chrome bathroom fittings give the bathroom a classy look that complements the fresh yet contrasting color palette in the space.
