This beautiful attic apartment has very steep sloped ceilings, which makes the planning of the interior design and layout a bit more challenging, yet by carefully selecting the furniture pieces and their position, the design works nicely in the space.
The light grey attic kitchen has two modules on each side, met by a glass partition fencing off the lowest part of the ceiling used for displaying plants. The glass partition also comes back as a custom solution for separating the bedroom from the rest of the space.
A light grey kitchen underneath a sloped ceiling
The light grey kitchen has been built underneath the sloped ceiling with upper cabinets starting from where the ceiling height allows it. The light grey kitchen cabinets are paired up with white marble countertops and brass hardware.
The area underneath the roof where no upper cabinets can be placed is filled with open shelving so this surface can be utilized as well.
The area next to the kitchen module where the ceiling touches the floor is too narrow to have a function. Because of this, the interior designer of this beautiful attic apartment placed plants behind a glass partition so this narrow space can still be enjoyed.
The oven and fridge are placed in a step-like layout which could be fitted underneath the angle of the ceiling.
A small rectangular dining table fills the area in between the two kitchen modules, which are connected by the black metal framed glass wall.
Next to the kitchen module, you can find another glass partition with a swing door that leads up to the bedroom.
A small living room in a niche space of the attic apartment
The living room is fitted in a niche space next to the kitchen, making it crucial to only select the necessary furniture pieces. The sofa is placed at an angle and is combined with a beautiful light oak dining table and a big plant to complete this cozy setting.
A small bedroom underneath a sloped ceiling
The bedroom is decorated in a minimal and simple way, with beige tones and a black accent wall lamp that resonates with the black metal of the glass partition.
A round mirror reflects the daylight coming in from the window and the open shelving provides some storage space away from the sloped ceiling.
A bathroom with glossy white subway tiles
The simple bathroom design features chrome fittings combined with glossy subway tiles for an elegant, timeless look that works nicely in a small space.
A staircase hallway with a window bench in front of the round attic apartment window
When you live in an attic apartment where not all areas can be optimally used, you have to get creative. In front of this beautiful round attic apartment window, the owners of this place created a custom seating bench with storage underneath it from which the view can be enjoyed.
