This spacious Swedish attic home has an abundance of natural light coming through the many skylights on the sloped roof. The minimal and modernized interior with white walls beautifully showcases the original wood beams and a sage-green kitchen takes center stage in the main living area.
The open-plan kitchen and living area are decorated in a modest color palette, from which the kitchen and the black dining chairs pop out. The bedroom on the other hand has an even more subtle color palette for a very modest and minimal appearance.
Sage green kitchen cabinets and a beige limestone countertop
The kitchen module is built against the wall with the most ceiling height, allowing both upper and lower cabinets combined with a tall cupboard for the fridge to be included in the floor plan. The sage green cabinets are paired up with black hardware, a chrome faucet, and a beautiful beige limestone countertop to finish the look off.
An open-plan dining space with black dining chairs
The open-plan kitchen and dining area connect both sides of the attic apartment. The light wood dining table in the middle of the space is paired up with black bentwood chairs and two black Wishbone chairs on the head of the table for a contrasting look.
Next to the sofa area, you can find a home office spot with a living room desk and a bookshelf attached to the wall.
A niche space next to the balcony is used for placing an elegant daybed in a dark wood tone that matches the wood tone of the exposed beams.
a subtle light grey living room with a tone-on-tone wardrobe
The bedroom has light grey walls, which are matched by the paint color on the wardrobe for a tone-on-tone look enhanced with black hardware. The white bedding and the beige accents in the blanket and the art print add a subtle warm tone to the color palette, from which the small table lamp stands out because of the black base.
The area underneath the sloped roof is used for a small wooden bench on top of which small accessories can be displayed. A great use for an area that would be otherwise lost.
Wood paneling in the bathroom
The grey tiles, white sink, and chrome fittings make for a very neutral color palette in the bathroom, which is enhanced by the wood vanity and the wood paneling in the shower, which add a very warm tone to the color palette.
