This beautifully renovated attic studio home in Sweden (Styled by Nouvel Interior, photographed by Walti Hösli for Entrance Makleri) has such an abundance of daylight streaming in through those skylights. Because of the light coming in, this studio home feels much more spacious.
The modern light grey kitchen is spacious and offers ample storage space. The light grey bottom cabinets are finished off with beautiful walnut wood on the upper cabinets that add warmth to the setting.
The living area features a round wood dining table with cognac leather dining chairs and a sofa area with a white sofa and white area rug underneath the sloped roof.
The bedroom is built inside a small room with a skylight providing the space with daylight. The bathroom shares the color palette of the apartment with a natural grey stone on the floor and walls paired with walnut wood on the storage and vanity.
A light grey kitchen with fluted walnut upper cabinets
The modern light grey kitchen with push-to-open cabinets is paired with a beige stone countertop that blends in with the light grey wall color that is used on all the walls in this attic apartment. The chrome faucet and the stainless steel finish on the oven add a contemporary touch to the two-tone kitchen design.
The kitchen is planned out against the longest wall in the apartment, connecting the entryway with the living area.
The light grey kitchen cabinets used on the bottom are paired with walnut upper cabinets with a subtle fluted pattern. The wood adds a beautiful warmth to the setting and a gorgeous texture.
A dining and living area with a light palette contrasted with black and brown tones
The area right next to the kitchen is a perfect spot for a round dining table in light wood. The cognac leather Seris 7 chairs add a warm note to the light grey walls and the subtle black contrasts in the lamp, gallery wall, and accessories.
The wall underneath the sloped ceiling is a great spot for a wall-to-wall bookshelf that holds a lovely arrangement of books and accessories.
The sofa area is decorated with a white fabric sofa and a light grey velvet area rug. This combination brightens up the palette in this section, and the black and beige tones in the gallery wall and in the throw pillows add a bit of contrast and variation.
A bedroom behind a non-bearing wall
The bedroom is created by adding a non-bearing wall and a door wall inside of the apartment. Since this area of the attic apartment has a skylight as well, the bedroom still gets natural light.
The assymetric non-bearing wall to construct a separate bedroom is used to hang a peg rail and artwork.
The small bedroom is decorated with beige, brown, and green tones in the textiles and gallery wall above the bed. The round mirror against the wall makes the space appear bigger and it reflects some of the daylight coming through the skylight back into the space.
The built-in bedroom closet is made out of the same material as the bottom kitchen cabinets.
An open-plan entryway section with light grey walls
The open-plan entryway, just like the rest of the apartment has a light grey color on the walls. In this section of the apartment, you can find the entry to the bathroom and a few small storage solutions.
A string system module in walnut offers some closed storage space in combination with an entryway mirror.
Grey natural stone and walnut finishes in the modern bathroom
The beautiful natural grey stone used on the walls and floor of the modern bathroom matches the overall aesthetic of the apartment in a nice way. The glass shower door and the chrome fittings add a nice variety to the material palette.
The storage cabinet and vanity are made out of walnut wood, which pairs nicely with the grey stone and chrome fittings.
