This newly-built private residence in the south of Finland is designed by Fyra (in collaboration with Studio BonBon Architects, photographed by Riikka Kantinkoski). The calm and tranquil aesthetic of the interior is carefully crafted with custom furniture, lighting, and surfaces to meet the needs of the residents.
The clean and minimal architecture draws inspiration from a Mediterranean aesthetic, while the interior design disrupts uniformity with a variety of textures and materials for a vibrant and engaging effect. The combination of rough and soft surfaces works well in this spacious home where thoughtful lines of sight facilitate serene transitions from one room into the other.

A modern living room with an impressive ceiling height and a contemporary fireplace
The majestically tall windows with black frames make the living room such an impressive space. White couches on top of a structural beige area rug set the stage for a cozy sofa area paired with a black leather lounge chair in front of the modern fireplace.
From the living room, a minimal staircase with an elegant steel pattern in the railing leads to the second floor of the house.
A spacious dining room with sheer curtains and an impressive oval dining table is connected to the living room in a semi-open layout.
A light oak kitchen with beige stone countertops
The modern kitchen features custom white oak kitchen cabinets with an integrated handle on the bottom, paired with clean white upper cabinets that are push-to-open.
Next to the taller kitchen cupboards, you can find an integrated workspace with small storage drawers underneath the worktop.
A spacious hallway with curved windows and ceilings
Modern bathrooms with a combination of natural materials
The main bathroom is connected to a walk-in closet custom-made out of oak wood elements. The chrome and oak details also come back in the material palette of the bathroom, connecting both spaces visually.
Natural stone countertops and floor tiles are paired with glossy wall tiles in the toilet section of the bathroom and a statement mirror that also functions as a room divider.
