This beautiful historic flat for sale in Sweden (Styled by Anna van Keppel, photographed by Mia Borgelin for Historiska Hem) has white-soaped hardwood flooring and white walls throughout, which reflects the abundance of daylight coming through those large historic windows.
The kitchen and child’s bedroom are connected by an indoor window, letting the daylight flow through to the kitchen space, which doesn’t get any direct natural light.

A spacious living room with a dining and sofa area
The living room is divided into two different sections. The dark grey fabric sofa on the white area rug makes for a beautiful contrast that is balanced out by the variety of different wood tones in the setting. The rug also visually separates the sofa from the dining area.

A vintage TV cabinet matches the warm wood tone of the round coffee table and the large ballerina art print against the wall is a true statement piece in the living room.
A light grey kitchen with stainless steel elements
The kitchen lies right next to the child’s bedroom and the living room and is fitted in a corner layout on a relatively small floor plan. The white tile backsplash goes all the way up to the high ceilings for an impressive effect in the space.
The light grey kitchen cabinets are paired with one part white marble counters and one part stainless steel. The area next to the cooktop has a tile countertop that matches the tiles on the backsplash. The stainless steel hood and hardware provide the kitchen design with a modern look and feel.
The window towards the other room allows natural light to flow into the kitchen space. The window frame is painted grey to match the color palette of the kitchen design. Two stainless steel kitchen cabinets underneath the sink bring a bit of variety to the grey cabinets.
Stainless steel accessories finish off the kitchen look perfectly.
Next to the indoor window, you can find a simple wall shelf holding the most precious ceramic pieces.
A simple bedroom with a light blue wall color
The main bedroom has a light blue wall color that adds a cool effect to the space. The vintage makeup table in a warm wood tone stands out powerfully against this cool tone on the walls.
The wall color comes back in the swimming pool print above the bed and the green plant adds a fresh touch to the setting.
A small kid’s room with a blue accent wall
The accent wall in the kid’s bedroom has the same color as the main bedroom’s wall color, which is a nice touch. The cute furniture pieces and the lavender fabric canopy tie the look of this space together nicely.
Checkered flooring and custom storage in the hallway
The green and grey checkered flooring in the hallway stands out against the white walls and the white custom wardrobe fills an entire wall. The bottom of this custom wardrobe is painted in a subtle green paint color for a beautiful half-tone effect.
A vintage cabinet in the hallway is painted in the same pattern as the newly built wardrobe, which ties the design of both cabinets together nicely.
Hexagon floor tiles paired with half-tile walls in the modern bathroom
The small and elegant hexagon floor tiles on the bathroom floor are paired with white subway tiles reaching up to 2/3 of the bathroom walls.
Both a tub and walk-in shower fit into this spacious bathroom and a half-glass wall in between the two separates them elegantly. Chrome bathroom fixtures and grey upper walls contribute to a modern bathroom aesthetic.
The mirror above the sink is built into the tile wall and five wall lamps above the mirror provide functional lighting, while also having a decorational purpose.
