This charming little Swedish apartment (Styled by Asa Copparstad, photographed by Frederic Boukari for Historiska Hem) may be compact, but it is big on comfort and style. Sage green window frames, doors, and trim accent the soft beige walls with hardwood floors throughout.
Comfy Living Room with Dining Area
The living room offers ample space for a sectional sofa, coffee table, and even a small dining table with chairs. The green trim around the two large casement windows on the back wall is not a harsh contrast; rather, it’s a gentle pop of color that works quite well in the space.

The yellow tones in the fabrics add a bright and sunny touch without being overpowering.

A small foldout dining table is placed between the two large living room windows. Two blue Series 7 chairs add another wonderful pop of color.

A door to the side leads into the bedroom, and built-in bookshelves line the wall, framing the door. A fireplace guards the other corner, and gold accents adorn the creamy white exterior.

Bedroom with Built-In Shelves and Cabinets
The bedroom is small; a full-sized bed is about all it can accommodate, but the window makes the space feel larger. Built-in shelves and cabinets adorn a recess in the back wall, and tall cabinets are cleverly built on one side. There’s more storage here than you might think.

A window toward the kitchen allows daylight to flow from the window through the sleeping space into the cooking area.

Micro Kitchen with Glass Cabinets
The micro kitchen features built-in shelves and cabinets with glass doors. The white tile backsplash is crisp and clean, running behind the sink and oven as well as the wood slat counter that can be removed to allow for better access to the sink. A recessed area sits above the counter, perfect for storing your spices so they are visible and easy to find.
Another small counter juts out on the other side of the oven, increasing your prep area.

Hallway and Entryway with Sage Trim and White Door
A white front door with sage trim is the entry point to the apartment. A shelf for stowing coats and bags is mounted to the wall just inside. The kitchen is to the immediate right as you walk inside, and the rest of the home is beyond.
