The PH House – a restoration of a historic villa in Copenhagen – is the latest project of Danish Norm Architects and I love how the first thing you notice when you look at these pictures is the quality and variety of the materials used. The contrasting marble kitchen island combined with brass and different wood types makes for a very high-quality look where only a minimal amount of furniture and design items are necessary to decorate the place.

Swedish Superfront has released a new range of Greige cabinet fronts. The Greige color looks especially nice with a darker stone top and against a darker wall like in their catalog images. I like the small cupboard in the second picture a lot, especially with the Taccia lamp on top.

Cozy home with blue accents

I like it when a certain accent color is used in an interior (like blue in this case) and it keeps coming back in every setting throughout the house. The dark blue details work very nicely in this cozy home combined with vintage pieces. I especially like the bright living room with the vintage glass cabinet, area rug and the big dining table in front of the windows.

Moving things around

I love moving things around inside our home. I tried something else last week and ended up with the bar table as a bedside table which I’m liking very much. Where our bar table used to be I now have space for the lounge chair. Now I just need to add a floor lamp there and I created a new reading corner. Sometimes we just have to keep changing things around to find new possibilities right ?

You can see the Monstera Deliciosa print in our living room and the Botanical no.3 print in our bedroom.

Turn of the century home in Oslo

post

This turn-of-the-century home in Oslo looks amazing and I love how the architectural details of the home are kept and combined with both modern and vintage furniture. The Gubi Grand Piano sofa in the living room (first picture) looks amazing in the little nook in front of the windows and I bet that’s such a cozy corner in this home.

The black kitchen is finished off with an impressive v that goes up to the ceiling and the beautiful warm wood tones of the floor come back in the wood inlays of the glass cupboard.

Spring flowers

I treated myself to a bouquet of Ranunculus the other day and it’s amazing what difference it makes in our living room. Just this tiny pop of green, powder pink and white flowers gives a spring feeling to our home, while temperatures outside are still so cold.
