This beautiful and calm all grey home looks cozy and stylish. Items like the wooden chairs and cutting boards in the kitchen and the red flowers in the living room and bedroom really pop out against all this grey. I think the round white dining table in the kitchen looks especially inviting as well. I can already see myself having my morning coffee there.

The Gjøvik House designed by Norm Architects is located an hour north of Oslo on a majestic hill side facing the Norwegian woods. It’s a modern and minimal cluster house that consists of overlapping cubes of different sizes, which makes for an intimate and dynamic family home. The place was designed in a modern and minimal way, but with warm and cozy materials. I think the combination of the wood panels with the concrete flooring and walls works especially well in this home.

I was so inspired by this doorway in this home shared on the Residence blog. The cabinets and shelves are built around the door, which I find very beautiful. They shelves are the perfect place for decorations and essential items.

Mint green kitchen and natural stone

post

I like the mixture of these mint green cabinet doors combined with the wooden fishbone flooring and the natural stone as a kitchen backsplash and surface. The kitchen is spread over the entire wall, but the cabinets above the cooking area are less deep, creating a niche for this area.

The mint green on the kitchen cabinets is a bit darker than in this kitchen for example, which gives it a more sophisticated look, especially combined with the beige natural stone countertop.

A home office is a great place be creative and to get some work done without having to sit on the kitchen table with your laptop. I loved combined offices for two people. They are space saving and allow you to work together on something.

Green inspiration for the new year

When starting a new year, I always have to re-evaluate our interior and the things I want to change in it. After removing all festive decorations, an empty canvas appears that is ready to be decorated again and after seeing these inspiring greens I’m thinking about adding some more fresh look plants to ease the path from winter into spring.

A bright white Finnish Home

Since lately I’m very inspired by homes with darker paint on the walls, however seeing this bright white Finnish home makes me revisit my plans for my white walls. The white reflecting on the wall makes this home look so fresh and bright, and the light wooden flooring and furniture matches this look perfectly.
