Every single room in this house has wooden finishes, which gives the place a very natural look. I especially like the old kitchen with the white painted framing and the bare wooden doors. This is such an authentic yet characteristic look. The hanging plants above the kitchen worktop look very nice as well. I have one in the kitchen myself, but am inspired to hang some more now.

Ferm Living SS18

post

I had a sneak peek of the new Ferm Living collection while at IMM Cologne on Monday and fell in love with their stand and the new items. The styled images of the new collection look on point like always and they went for a darker, less colorful palette this time, while still keeping within their beautiful muted color palette which they are so known for. My favorite item from the new collection is the Flying shelf (in the last picture) with its geometric shapes.

The new collection from Muuto mixes pastels with natural materials like wood, leather and brass. The images from the new collection are amazing I think and show the new designs really well. My favorite from the new collection is the Mimic mirror design by Normal Studio.

It’s the combination of old and new interesting interior accessories however that makes this look unique. I love the black accent wall in the kitchen and the many vintage details that are mixes up with graphic textiles and home objects in natural colors.

The TR Bulb designed by Tim Rundle for Menu is a clever solution for modern city living, inspired by the way people are increasingly becoming urban nomads, moving between cities and countries to pursue careers and life experiences.  The TR Bulb is designed to be taken from apartment to apartment – installed by simply screwing it into the pendant sockets hanging in ceiling, no electrical expertise required.

Stylish home in grey

This beautiful and calm all grey home looks cozy and stylish. Items like the wooden chairs and cutting boards in the kitchen and the red flowers in the living room and bedroom really pop out against all this grey. I think the round white dining table in the kitchen looks especially inviting as well. I can already see myself having my morning coffee there.

The Gjøvik House

The Gjøvik House designed by Norm Architects is located an hour north of Oslo on a majestic hill side facing the Norwegian woods. It’s a modern and minimal cluster house that consists of overlapping cubes of different sizes, which makes for an intimate and dynamic family home. The place was designed in a modern and minimal way, but with warm and cozy materials. I think the combination of the wood panels with the concrete flooring and walls works especially well in this home.

Bookshelf doorway

I was so inspired by this doorway in this home shared on the Residence blog. The cabinets and shelves are built around the door, which I find very beautiful. They shelves are the perfect place for decorations and essential items.
