Open kitchen design

An open kitchen design is a nice space saving solution and I like that the person that is cooking can talk to the people in the living room. I’m drawn to this setup especially, which is right next to the hallway. The front module serves as a bar and separates the area as at the same time. I like the vintage wooden box under the counter as well and all the Phillea plants in the window finish off this look perfectly.

Danish design brand HAY designed a capsule collection for Ikea called Ypperlig and these are the first pictures of it. It will be coming out in October and I will certainly go have a look when it does. You can clearly recognise the HAY signature design in this collection and I like the colors that are used in these pictures of the collection.

The classic Stingray chair designed by Thomas Pedersen for Fredericia is now available in two new editions, matt white and matt dark grey. The chair merges a rocking chair and a footstool, as you can use it in countless upright or laid back positions.

Natural small loft

post

Look at this beautiful small loft project that was done for Ikea. I like the natural colors that are used throughout the interior and the sand color on the wall. This space has a rustic, but still modern look, which works very well.

Last week I showed you danish designer Kristina Dam‘s personal home here on the blog. I’m very happy that I could try out some of here beautiful designs in our home as well and love the soft look of her creations in our bedroom.

I’m using the Cube table in Tigerskin marble as a bedside table and paired it up with the Wooden Sphere and the Mirror Tray. The mirror is an interesting combination of oak wood and different tints of mirror glass. It can be used as I tray or can be hung on the wall, which is what I plan to do as soon as I find the right spot for it.

I love the simplicity of the products, which lets the quality materials shine and give a soft look to an interior. The cube table has a very simple outline, which combined with the polished look of the marble is a real eye catcher in our bedroom. I’m not sure yet if I will keeping using it as a bedside table, of if it will be a coffee table soon, but I’m sure it can fit in any setting in our home.

You can have a look at the entire collection here and I’m looking forward to the new releases for the Autumn and winter collection as well.

I like this small and simple home. The eye catcher in this interior is definitly the vintage Artek table and stools, which adds a warm touch of authenticity to the living room. Many accessories, green plants and art prints make this place characteristic and the dining table in the kitchen looks very inviting as well.

I love the colors and textures in this newly build home. The grey in the living room contrasts very nicely with the leather series 7 chairs and the soft look of the bedroom is enhanced by the mini prints in grey and nude tints.
