Light home in beige tints

post

I like this living room and bedroom combination in tints of beige and powder pink. The interesting details and fabrics combined with the vintage cupboards in both rooms make this place unique and the wing doors between the two rooms just look so amazing. There are a lot of green plants added to this interior as well, which gives it a very fresh look.

Beautiful all beige home

post

I like the calm and peaceful look of this all-beige home. The furniture and accessories are kept in natural colors as well, which makes the green plants pop out in a very nice way. I like the big fiddle leaf fig tree in the living room especially and the little stools on the wall in the hallway are both practical and stylish.

This beautiful residential project was designed by Laura Seppanen in Helsinki. She used a mixture of black furniture and different tints of wood on the white surfaces of this home and added some interesting textiles as well. In the living room, an entire brick wall is exposed, which makes the room look warmer and in the bedroom, a concrete wall is used to add some extra texture.

The bookshelf desk solution in black and oak wood stands out so nicely against the white walls and white flooring in the space.

Even though I spent considerable time walking around doing stylings, taking pictures or sketching, I spend the majority of my working day at my desk in front of my computer. I do a lot of exercise and keep moving throughout the day, but the most important thing for a healthy back is a good chair. I’ve been looking for an office chair for a while now, and I finally got to try out the new Aeron chair by Herman Miller in Mineral, and I can honestly say that it’s the most comfortable office chair I have used!

The Aeron chair was originally designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick in 1994. The designers combined their deep knowledge of ergonomics and technology to create a unique task chair. Since then, the iconic form of Aeron has remained largely unchanged, but Don Chadwick (one of the original designers) incorporated 20 years of research on the science of sitting, materials, manufacturing and technology to improve the design.

It’s difficult to find a chair that is this comfortable, while at the same time looks nice in the office. The Aeron chair is both. It’s great to sit on because it supports the back really well, keeping the body straight but relaxed. I also really enjoy the modern look of the chair in the new Mineral color. The light tone of the chair, the combination of different textures and materials, and polished finishings look great, and shows the attention that went into every detail.

Next to the Mineral version (the one you see in my office), the chair is also available in Graphite and Carbon. You can have a look on the Herman Miller website to read more about the Aeron chair, its features and how it was designed.

Simple and classy home

post

I like the classy look of the interior in this turn-of-the-century apartment. It’s quite a luxury to have a separate dining room nowadays and I like how the area rug is used underneath the table and chairs. The double doors between the rooms are very beautiful as well and I like the general style of the furniture and accessories that were chosen to decorate this flat.

The view from the living room into the cozy yet minimal bedroom is so powerful and enhanced by the beautiful historic doorway. The black and white color palette in the bedroom contributes to this minimal look.
