Classy home with natural materials

post

The eye-catcher of this home is definitely the big kitchen with the wing doors to the living room which are both scarcely decorated to let the beautiful old architecture speak for itself. The dark wood kitchen matches the fishbone flooring very well and the vintage dining table gives a little bit of contrast to the otherwise slick kitchen. The green hallway takes you to the fresh and white bedroom.

I think the wood of the kitchen cabinets and the herringbone flooring does a lot to the warmth and coziness level of this place. If you compare this interior design with the classy all-white interior I blogged about a while back, you can see what I mean.

Dark attic bedroom

I like this attic bedroom with dark grey walls. There is a lot of light coming from the roof window and the ceilings are kept white, which makes this a very fresh room, even with the dark color. The soft grey carpet and the accessories make this a cozy and inviting space with an elegant touch.

This is the latest interior project by Anu Tammiste from the blog Decor Dots. The ceilings of the home are partially concrete, which she softened out with a combination of vintage pieces, soft colors and lots of green plants. The bedroom has an even softer look with the grey color on the wall combined with the rattan lamp. You can read more about the interior choices on Anu’s blog.

I like the warm look of the vintage furniture against the dark hardwood floors in this home. Added soft textiles and the right accessories give this home a very inviting look. Especially the bedroom with the greige linen curtains has a very soft and warm look. In the second picture you can see our Lonely House print as well, which looks great in combination with the vintage sideboard.

Lorena Canals washable rug

I like the effect of different fabrics and textures in the bedroom to create a soft and cozy atmosphere. These soft materials inevitably come with a lot of dust though and especially in the bedroom I like to keep it fresh and clean. I’m very excited that I could try out the Berber rug from Lorena Canals in the bedroom, which can be washed on 30 degrees.

I like the soft and graphic look it gives to the room and I don’t have to worry about dust, as I can wash and dry it regularly, just like all the other bedroom textiles. The rug is made by hand out of 100% natural cotton and is very soft underneath my feet in the morning.

Have a look on the Lorena Canals website to see their different designs.

I’m in love with this cozy kitchen table with all the green plants. A space where you can have your coffee in the morning or have a break and read a magazine. The linen table cloth, the small rug and the low hanging lamp create an area within the kitchen, separated from the rest of the home.

Bright home with lots of details

post

I like the many beautiful details in this bright and white home. The old kitchen in white is decorated with many wood and brass details finished off with a subway tile backsplash and a statement wallpaper for an impressive effect. Both the living room and beige bedroom have nice gallery walls that add so much character to the interior and I like the big round mirror above the couch in particular.

I like this beautiful apartment where old and new elements meet. The place is full of decoration items, which I would probably reduce a little, but in this home it works perfectly. I like the filing cabinet in the kitchen and the glass vitrines showcase a multitude of special objects.
