This beautiful loft home in Sweden (photographed by Adam Helbaoui, sold via Innerstadsspecialisten) has an impressive black metal window that provides the entire apartment with an abundance of natural light. On the other side of the loft, you can find a kitchen with a loft level on top containing the bedroom, which can be accessed by the beautiful black metal staircase next to the sofa.
The loft features a wide array of custom storage modules that were designed when remodeling this place to optimize storage and functionality on a relatively small floor space.
A living room with an impressive window and a ceiling-high custom storage solution
In the front section of the loft space, you can find the living room, which is decorated in an elegant, minimal way. The white fabric couch on top of the large white area rug paired with the white walls provides a beautiful light base palette that is enhanced with black accent pieces to complement the majestic black metal window.
The impressive ceiling height in the living room section is accentuated by the impressive custom bookshelf that includes closed storage modules on the bottom, integrated LED lighting, a home library, and a spot for the TV. I think this is a true masterpiece in the space.
The round mirror above the sofa reflects the space in an elegant way, while the Monstera plant adds a fresh pop of green to the setting.
A minimal sage-green kitchen that continues towards the entryway
Underneath the black metal loft level, you can find a beautiful sage-green kitchen module. Right behind the black metal staircase, you can find the tall kitchen modules including the fridge and electronic appliances. These tall cupboards have a white finish and transform into an entryway storage section right next to the front door of the loft.
The sage green kitchen cabinets are paired with a matching kitchen wall color, a tick white marble countertop, and elegant metal hardware.
The beige stone dining table paired with the light grey Series 7 chairs connects the kitchen with the rest of the living space.
A loft bedroom with a natural color palette and a home office corner
The bedroom is located on the second level on top of the kitchen, right underneath the beautifully curved ceiling the building architecture provides. The grey rug that covers the entire loft floor is paired with a light grey custom hardware that fits perfectly underneath the lower ceiling.
The bed is made with a mixture of white and beige textiles and two beautiful portable lamps on the bedside tables that match the color palette perfectly.
A floating desk right next to the bedroom wardrobe provides a small spot to work from home, without taking up too much surface in this loft home. I think the desk fits perfectly in between the wardrobe and the railing, blending in with the addition of the black table lamp, black chair, and the set of black and white prints decorating the wall.
A minimal beige tile bathroom
The soft beige tiles on both the floors and the walls in this bathroom provide the space with an elegant setting from which the chrome fixtures and white porcelain stand out.
Custom built-ins make for sample storage space in this loft home
The elegant solution of combining the kitchen with entryway storage is paired with a beautiful custom walk-in closet that seemingly provides a spot for everything in an elegant way.
Butcher block countertops have been around for ages and they are still far from being out of style or old fashioned. They can be combined with about any kitchen cabinet color and depending on how you integrate them into your kitchen remodel, they can fit perfectly within a modern kitchen design.
You can make butcher block countertops affordable by selecting a laminate or bamboo material, however, depending on the wood species you select for your kitchen design, wood countertops tend to cost much less per square foot/meter than some of the other often-used countertop materials like marble, granite, quartz, or stainless steel.
Butcher block countertops are sustainable, durable, and can be paired with a variety of different cabinet styles and colors, however, they do require maintenance. Wood countertops need to be sealed with mineral oil monthly to protect them against stains or small scratches.
Below, you can find a list of my favorite kitchen designs finished with a wood countertop ranging from farmhouse style, shaker style, or more modern versions.
A Swedish farmhouse kitchen with butcher block countertops
To resemble the original wood beams in the ceiling, this beautiful shaker kitchen in farmhouse style with light grey cabinets is finished with butcher block countertops, paired with a natural wood peg rail, a classic style wood kitchen island and a variety of different antique farmhouse style finds in wood.
The vintage cutting boards hanging on the peg rail add a unique touch and the large white porcelain farmhouse sink stands out against the warm wood tones in this kitchen renovation project.
Dark-stained wood countertops finish off a dark green kitchen
The combination of the beautiful herringbone hardwood flooring with the wooden dining table, and the stylish dark-stained butcher block counters adds a lot of warmth to this kitchen design with dark green kitchen cabinets.
The white tile backsplash is finished off with a small wood trim with the same wood oil stain as the countertop, making the white tiles stand out in a contrasting way. The brass hardware and the stainless steel appliances in this kitchen add a modern touch, which pairs nicely with the traditional elements in the kitchen cabinets and the white porcelain sink.
A light wood countertop adds a natural touch to a classic sage green kitchen design
The sage-green kitchen cabinets in this stylish shaker kitchen are paired with black cabinet hardware, a gold faucet on top of a porcelain sink, and a light wood countertop that adds a soft warmth to the color palette.
The wood surface also comes back on the narrow kitchen island and I love the way the wood tone pairs with the soft sand wall color in this kitchen design.
Match your Butcher Block with a Peg Rail in the same Material
The butcher block countertop in this gorgeous off-white farmhouse kitchen is matched by a peg rail in the same wood tone. The rail adds extra farmhouse flair to the space and is perfect for hanging kitchen utensils.
The white porcelain farmhouse sink stands out in this natural color palette beautifully.
A warm butcher block countertop stands out against modern light grey cabinets
The light grey kitchen cabinets with integrated handles have quite a minimal effect on the space, matching the color of the kitchen floor. To add a bit of warmth, the interior designer added a warm tone of butcher block countertops and let this color come back in the natural tone runner on the floor.
The visible grain on the countertop surface also provides the kitchen with a natural texture, which is missing in the laminate kitchen fronts.
Light wood countertops and light hardwood floors in a navy kitchen
The contrast between the navy kitchen cabinets and the light-soaped hardwood flooring in this space is very powerful and is a true design feature of the kitchen. The floors are complemented with a light wood butcher block counter, finished off with a light grey wall color for a soft effect in the space.
The natural tone accessories and materials used to decorate the kitchen make the wood surfaces shine even better, while the stainless steel oven and range hood add a modern element to the setting.
Butcher Block Countertops in a Farmhouse kitchen with an L-shaped layout
This greige farmhouse kitchen has shiplap walls painted in the same color for a monotone effect from which the butcher block countertops stand out powerfully. The contrasting counter also accentuates the L-shaped layout of this beautiful kitchen space.
A thin butcher block countertop for a polished effect in a minimal kitchen design with a kitchen island
This minimal white kitchen with a kitchen island has the most beautiful thin butcher block counter that is brought back in the wall shelving and the fronts for the upper cabinets. The undermount sink finishes the look off perfectly and the stainless steel handles on the doors add a sophisticated touch to the kitchen design.
A classic off-white kitchen finished with a warm wood countertop
This classic off-white kitchen is finished with beautiful warm wood butcher block counters that add a beautiful warmth to the setting. The wood tone on the counter also comes back in the elegant cabinet hardware and in the magnetic rail holding the extensive knife collection.
A contrasting blue country-style kitchen with a light butcher block countertop
The copper pans, chopping boards, and farmhouse sink add a classic touch to this U-shaped kitchen design, which fits perfectly in the space. The navy blue kitchen cabinets pair nicely with the light wood butcher block counters, finished off with beautiful white tiles with black grout on the backsplash walls.
A minimal Japandi space with oak cabinets and an oak countertop
This beautiful light oak kitchen design is finished off with countertops in the same oak material for a tone-on-tone effect that is contrasted by the elegant limewash walls and the black appliances used in the kitchen.
Since the kitchen is completely constructed out of the same material, and the cabinet handles are integrated within the doors, the kitchen has a very calm and tranquil effect in the space.
Butcher block countertops to balance out a colorful kitchen space
This kitchen design pairs mustard yellow kitchen cabinets with blue laminate floors and pink walls for a unique and colorful effect that is balanced out by the use of a natural butcher block countertop that makes the brass hardware stand out.
Imagine a more textured countertop material like granite or quartz and the look could easily become too much, yet by selecting a wood countertop everything looks balanced.
End grain butcher block counters paired with a black countertop material
In this beautiful kitchen with black cabinets, the different materials create an interesting visual effect in the space. While the main functional area including the stove and sink is finished with black countertops for a seamless pairing with the cabinet color, the two areas by the angled walls have an end grain butcher block countertop each.
End grain wood countertops arrange the end of wood planks in a beautiful pattern, which adds a beautiful texture to the surface.
A butcher block countertop paired with a stainless steel countertop by the sink
Moisture stains around the kitchen sink are the most common and it’s recommended to always wipe down any spills on a wood countertop and to clean it with a bit of soapy water. In this elegant sage-green kitchen with a corner layout, butcher block countertops are paired with stainless steel countertops by the sink to avoid having to be extra careful with maintenance in this section.

A light palette shaker kitchen with a butcher block countertop as the focal point
The off-white kitchen cabinets with delicate gold hardware, paired with the white walls and the white-soaped hardwood flooring provide the kitchen design with a light base palette, from which the warm butcher block countertops stand out in an elegant way.
The copper pans and small ceramics in neutral colors make the warm tone of the countertop stand out even better and make it a true focal point in the kitchen design.
White-stained oak butcher block countertops and flooring
While butcher block typically comes in warmer or darker wood stains, you can opt for a lighter look by picking out a white stain for a modern effect similar to a light quartz that fits perfectly within modern spaces.
In this beautiful kitchen, the interior designer picked out light-stained oak countertops, paired with dark blue kitchen cabinets with an integrated handle, a gold faucet, and three delicate pendant lights above the counter.
Pair Butcher Block Countertops with vintage wood tones and accent colors
This functionality-packed mint green kitchen features a wide variety of materials and color variations for a characterful and unique look. The vintage dining table complements the wood tone of the countertop for a warming effect in the space.
Butcher Block warms up a Green and Stainless Steel Kitchen Design
The wood countertops in this corner kitchen add a lot of warmth to the green cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Imagine this kitchen with a clean white counter and it would change the look completely. I love that you can see the planks on the side of the counter. By gluing them together, a durable worktop is created.
Pair a Light Butcher Block Countertop with a light Wood Flooring for an Elegant Effect
In this classic grey shaker kitchen with beige walls, the original hardwood flooring is white-soaped for a light and bright effect. To match the wood tone of the flooring, a light wood countertop is added to the kitchen and paired with beautiful brass hardware and wall lamps.
This gorgeous historic apartment in Sweden (styled by Grey Deco, photographed by Henrik Linden, for sale at Alvhem) has intricate white historic details in the interior architecture, paired with white-soaped hardwood flooring for a light base palette that is enhanced with a subtle light beige wall color in both the living room and bedroom.
Both spaces, separated by a double interior door are decorated in a natural color palette, with a few touches of blue that add a true focal point to the interior design.
The simple white kitchen features white kitchen cabinets paired with wood countertops and black hardware. The layout of the kitchen cabinets is planned to include a little breakfast nook to optimize the floor plan to include both the kitchen and a dining area.
Light beige living room walls paired with a light grey sofa and blue accents
The beautiful white historic details in the building are accentuated by the light beige paint color on the living room walls. The light grey fabric sofa is paired with a white area rug and a mixture of beiges and blues in the throw pillows for an interesting combination of warm and cool tones.
The windows are fitted with sheer white curtains that stand out in a subtle way against the light beige wall color.
A natural oak wood dining area decorated with a subtle gallery wall in tints of blue
The round wood dining table is paired with four oak CH24 Wishbone dining chairs that stand out against the light color of the hardwood flooring.
The living room gallery wall connects the sofa area with the dining section and inside of the oak frames, subtle blue tones can be seen that tie the living room color palette together nicely.
The mirror on the wall opposite the window is a great decor element in this setting and allows the beautiful daylight to be reflected back into the living room.
Light beige bedroom walls and blue accent bedside lamps
Behind the double interior doors in the living room, which subtly stand out against the light beige walls, you can find the beige bedroom, which shares the same color as the living room.
The light beige bedroom walls are paired with a color palette comprised of different beige and off-white textiles and a few wooden furniture elements to add a natural element to the setting. The two blue portable lamps add a blue touch just like in the adjacent living room for a cohesive interior design throughout the space.
The white Ikea Pax wardrobe with classic fronts fits the style of the historic interior details that characterize the apartment.
A white kitchen with a breakfast nook
The kitchen floor plan is rather narrow, yet by optimizing and including two kitchen modules and a breakfast nook, both kitchen and dining functionality can be shared in the same space. The kitchen cabinets are lowered towards a bench against the wall, which is paired with a narrow dining table to allow enough space at the kitchen sink.
The white kitchen cabinets are finished with wood countertops that come back in the wall shelf above the counter and the black hardware adds a delicate contrast to the setting.
A blue living room can be a great choice if you are looking for a fresh and cool effect in your space. It might be a bold choice to some (especially when you compare it to an interior with white walls), yet just the right amount of blue can elevate the design of your living room to a new level.
When you have ample natural light streaming into your living room, you can easily go for a darker tone, while low-lit spaces might benefit from a lighter shade of blue.
In the list below, you can find the most inspiring blue living room ideas that I can ensure you, will make you want to whip out your paint brush. From light to dark, saturated to paler shades of blue, you can find it all in this list.
Pair your blue living room walls with natural tones to make them stand out, or work with opposites on the color wheel to add a more unique touch to the color palette. Good news: you don’t need to be an interior designer to make this trendy wall color work in your living room interior.
Pale dark blue walls paired with warm tones in the accessories
The pale dark blue paint on the walls in this living room makes the white molding, white skirting boards, window frames, and ceiling stand out in a powerful way.
The white couch is paired with a pale rug with an oriental pattern, a glass Gubi Pedrera coffee table, and a sand-colored lounge chair. The textiles on the sofa are selected in beige and brown tones that contrast nicely with the blue walls.
By adding contrasting colors to the living room gallery wall, the design becomes unique. The red and brown tones accentuate the bold color choice on the living room wall.
A dark midnight blue living room with an exceptional interior design
The deep blue wall color in this gorgeous turn-of-the-century living room accentuates the historic elements in a perfect way. The brass accents in the white porcelain tile fireplace are brought back in the brass pendant light in the middle of the space, which adds a true focal point to this amazing interior.
The dark grey fabric sofa is paired with a white coffee table and a grey velvet area rug. This combination creates a dark base palette with the wall color and allows for the furnishings and accessories to stand out in the design.
The selection of black and white art prints decorating the midnight blue wall add depth, while the warm tones on the vintage wood cabinet next to the window stand out against the cool tones on the paint color. The blue living room wall color comes back in the Bold chair from Moustache and the natural tones in the other furniture make the setting complete.
A neutral living room with blue-grey walls and baby-blue accents
The blue-grey living room walls in this gorgeous space with rounded windows are finished with an off-white sofa, a white fluffy area rug, and a mixture of beiges and pastel blue accents in the finishes. The bright pops of blue paired with the natural materials in this setting make the living room design unique and sophisticated.
Dark blue walls paired with brown tones in the living room furniture
Even though darker blue living room ideas typically work well in bigger spaces, if you are looking to make an impact and create a truly unique effect on a smaller surface, a darker blue color will work wonders.
The calm blue backdrop is enhanced with brown tones in the furniture and bright pops of white in the art prints on the wall and in the sheer white curtains in front of the window.
A medium blue living room with a white sofa and subtle red accents
The bright white combination of the couch and area rug in this living room stands out against a medium blue wall color. The dark wood furniture pieces add depth to the setting, while the bright red and pink tones in the finishes, and the green plant in the window sill make for an interesting color combination.
A grey living room wall color with blue undertones paired with warm tones
Depending on the direction of the daylight, the walls in this living room look grey with blue undertones or light blue. Regardless, the effect of the beige soft furnishings paired with warm wood tones in the antique furniture against the cool wall color is such a powerful one.
Deep blue walls paired with black and white accents
As one of the most contrasting blue living room ideas on this list, it’s the black and white elements against the blues that create a calm yet interesting look. The white floorboards and white crown molding underneath the ceiling frame the blue wall color in a nice way.
The interior designer allowed the white historic details of the living rooms’ architecture to come back in the white sofa, the sheer white curtains, and the white Ikea Besta cabinet on the wall for added storage.
From this blue and white color scheme, the black coffee table, side table, and armchair pop out in a powerful and contrasting way.
A light grey-blue paint color in a spacious turn-of-the-century living room
Compared to the darker blue living room ideas on this list, this gorgeous space has a more subtle and subdued look due to the light blue walls that make the white historic elements stand out in a modest way.
The subtle blue wall color is paired with a white sofa and a white area rug that brightens up the original herringbone hardwood flooring. The brown, grey, and blue tones in the accessories and in the art print decorating the sofa area make for an elegant and sophisticated decor.
A blue living room paired with cool grey tones and white furnishings
While some of the blue living room ideas on this list tend to contrast the cool tones with warm textiles and accessories, the design of this living room is enhanced with cool grey tones in the curtains and textiles to enhance the bold blue color choice.
Even though some beige and brown accents can be found in the interior, apart from the warm wood herringbone flooring, the palette is mainly based on white and cool blue tones.
A blue sofa and a pale shade of blue on a living room accent wall
Other than the blue living rooms in this list where all walls have the same color, this living room works with an accent wall in seemingly the same shade as the blue sofa in front of the white-painted exposed brick wall.
The combination of warm pink, wood, and leather tones in the interior adds an interesting play between cool and warm colors, creating a unique effect in this blue living room.
Blue living room wallpaper for added texture in an elegant interior
Different from the other blue living room ideas on the list, this historic living room is decorated with a blue pattern wallpaper, which adds extra texture to the walls. The blue color combination on the wallpaper design pairs nicely with the light and natural color palette in the interior decor and the white crown molding underneath the ceiling is accentuated by the deep shades on the wall.
A white sofa and white String shelf paired with a grey area rug and a cognac leather armchair set the stage for a variety of different accessories and art prints in natural tones. The Ingo Maurer Zettel lamp in the middle of the space is like a breath of fresh air that enhances the look of this blue living room.
A deep blue living room decorated with green plants and natural tones
This is one of the darkest blue living room ideas on the list, which is almost like black or very dark grey with a blue undertone, which shows the blue tones depending on the direction of the natural light that comes into the space.
Selecting walls this dark is a surefire way of adding character to your interior design, as it will look like everything pops out of the wall. The fresh green plants and the natural elements in this interior stand out against the blue backdrop, while the two artworks painted in the same color as the wall blend in.

Pale blue living room walls paired with a mixture of beiges for an interesting play of warm and cool tones
The living room section in this studio apartment is painted in a muted shade of blue, including the built-ins around the heathers and the living room wainscoting that finishes off the space.
The cool tones in the blue walls, contrast with the subtle warm tones in the different shades of beige, allowing for an interesting play between cool and warm. This is a clever trick to add a sophisticated touch to your interior and since you are working with just two main colors, it’s fairly easy to implement.
Pick your favorite shade of blue and decorate it with different textures and textiles in beige, grey, and brown to find the mixture that works for your space.
Add Contrast to your Blue Living Rooms for a Powerful Effect
The example below is one of the more contrasting blue living room ideas, where a gorgeous contrast is created between the walls and the white textiles and ceiling in the space. The art prints, mirror, and white curtains stand out powerfully against the dark backdrop of the wall color.
This gorgeous turn-of-the-century apartment in Sweden (styled by Grey Deco, photographed by Henrik Linden, for sale via Alvhem) has bright white floors, that do a great job reflecting the daylight coming from the large windows. The walls in the living room and office are painted in light and modest colors, making the brown and blue tones in the decor stand out.
The asymmetrical floor plan in the kitchen provides ample space for two kitchen modules and a large dining table by the window. The white subway tiles backsplash finishes the kitchen design off nicely and adds a subtle industrial touch.
The light beige walls of the bedroom are paired with a mixture of white, beige, and brown tones. in the textiles and accessories for a warm and inviting look.
Dark brown, black, and grey tones stand out against the light beige living room walls
The light beige living room walls are subtle, yet they make the white-painted hardwood floors, white ceilings, and moldings stand out. The sheer white curtains frame the historic windows and can be closed for privacy when it’s dark out.
The dark grey sofa paired with a dark oak coffee table set and beige and brown tones in the textiles and art prints add a beautiful contrast against the light palette of the walls and floors in the space.
The vintage chest of drawers fits beautifully against the wall by the window, and I love the way the light armchair stands out in front of it.
The green plants finish the look and add about the only pop of color in this living room setting.
The TV is mounted on the wall next to the doorway, paired with a wall-mounted console to keep books and electronics.
Home office with cool grey walls
The color palette in the home office space is much cooler than the one in the adjacent living room. The cool grey walls are paired with blue details in the area rug underneath the guest bed and the warm tones in the desk by the window stand out against this cool grey backdrop.
The vintage desk includes storage on each side and adds a lot of character to this space.
The wall space on either side of the historic double interior doors is filled with a wall shelf and a mirror that reflects the space nicely.
A white kitchen with black countertops and white subway tiles
The asymmetrical kitchen floor plan provides ample space for the kitchen modules and a large dining table with black dining chairs in front of the window. The white kitchen cabinets are paired with black countertops for a contrasting effect against the light grey walls.
The white subway tile backsplash has a darker grout color, which adds a lovely texture to the kitchen. The backsplash makes the brass kitchen faucet stand out and adds an industrial touch to the space.
Beige bedroom walls and darker beiges in the textiles
The light beige bedroom walls make the white floors and doors stand out and add a soft warm touch to the interior. The darker beige and white textiles on the bed stand out from this look and the wood tones in the mirror and wall hanger contribute to making this color palette warmer.
The white wardrobe turns into open shelving by the window, providing a nice spot for books in the bedroom.
Including a TV gallery wall in your living room or bedroom has become more popular in the last few years, especially after Samsung introduced its frame TV which lends itself perfectly to be integrated into a gallery wall.
You can create a gallery wall around any type of TV, however, whether it’s a mounted TV or one that stands on top of a media cabinet or entertainment center. Work with a selection of art pieces and prints in a similar color as your interior, or go bold and work with a color palette that makes your TV gallery wall stand out in the space.
If you are unsure about how to hang and arrange a gallery wall, you can try the positions out with paper templates as this will give you a good impression of the final result on your blank wall.
A wall-to-wall gallery around the TV
This large TV is attached to the wall with a wall mount on top of floating shelves for an elegant effect. To avoid having a big black box that distracts from the living room interior, the gallery wall around the TV makes it blend in with the other decor.
The pairing of the art prints, the oak and black frames, and the decor objects on top of the floating shelves make this TV wall blend in with the living room in an excellent way.
A gallery wall that spreads from the sofa area over to the dining table
This impressive gallery includes an elegant TV with an oak frame and is paired with a variety of differently framed art prints that go all the wang up to the ceiling and down to the floor.
The gallery also connects the sofa area with the dining table and the red bench stands out in this otherwise rather modest color palette.
An elegant photo and art print set up around the TV next to a fireplace
The beige living room walls make the white fireplace in this living space stand out in such a lovely way. The black and white art prints and photo prints surrounding the TV add a beautiful contrast to this setting and add a stronger look to the white floor, white fireplace, and the white Ikea Besta cabinet used as storage in this space.
The black elements also come back in the table lamp and simple decor objects and the green Monstera plant next to the cabinet adds a fresh green touch to the setting.
An impressive gallery wall for watching TV in style
The TV used in this beautiful gallery wall looks like a framed artwork with its’ oak border. The art prints, photos, and other frames are spread over two walls in this living area, making the TV barely noticeable in this impressive setup.
A less prominent area behind a sofa is great for a gallery with TV
In this living space, the area behind the sofa is used for the TV, which is a less prominent spot, yet you can still comfortably watch your favorite movies from the other sofa by the window.
The artwork right next to the TV is larger than the TV itself, which allows it to take a more prominent space and take away the attention from the black screen right next to it.
A Samsung Frame TV integrated into a colorful gallery wall
The colorful mixture of gold frames, photos, and art prints matches perfectly with the color palette in this interior. The Frame TV blends in with the rest of this colorful setting and the fact that the gallery covers almost the entire wall makes it even more impressive.

A combination of frames and candle wall sconces around the TV
This beautiful living room with cool grey walls includes a small area for a rather big TV, so the two art frames can only find a place to hang above the TV. On either side, the wall is decorated with brass candle wall sconces for a cozy effect.
The natural rattan doors of the cabinet pair nicely with the hardwood floor, while the beige table lamp adds a cozy light at night along with the candles.
The area underneath the stairs is covered with wallpaper and turned into a beautiful spot to watch TV. The dark paint color on top of the white staircase makes this area stand out even more. I like the idea of accentuating the TV corner rather than hiding it away and the usage of this bold pattern wallpaper does just that.
The vintage cabinet underneath the TV wall is painted in a dusty blue color, which completes the color palette of this eclectic setup with vintage elements in a characterful way.
A gallery wall with a TV right above the living room wainscoting
This beautiful two-tone living room has white wainscoting on the bottom that pairs nicely with the white-soaped hardwood flooring used throughout the space. The TV is hung on the area above the wainscoting, which is painted in a subtle greige wall color and paired with a beautiful art frame combination to decorate this corner.
The gallery including the TV fits inside of the moldings on the wall, which clearly define and accentuate this area of the interior.
The color of the cabinets underneath the TV matches the color on the wall for an integrated effect and the portable lamp will add a cozy atmospheric light next to the TV at night.
A mixture of black, white, and gold frames surrounds a small TV which is mounted on top of a simple cabinet. The dark wall color makes the gallery wall stand out, making it a highlight in this living room space.
Other than photos, prints, and frames, this gallery includes two mirrors that create variety in shape and material textures.

A tall gallery wall in a living room with high ceilings
This spacious living room has a high ceiling, allowing for the gallery wall around the TV to spread over a larger surface height-wise. The TV is placed on a stand on an arrangement of white Ikea Besta cabinets which stand out against the subtle light grey walls.
The art frames fill the area around the TV, resulting in a beautiful setting that fits well within the space.
A simple black-and-white setup in a monochromatic living room
The walls in this living room with light grey walls are kept quite bare, which is also reflected in the way the TV is integrated into the interior. The white space around the TV is filled with a single art print hanging next to it.
I love the way the black screen with a white frame is contrasted by a white print with a black frame right next to it. This fits perfectly with the monochrome setting in the decoration.
Consider the television as a beautiful piece of furniture to decorate
The beautiful greige wall color in this living room makes the mounted TV and media console stand out just like a piece of furniture. The large wall-to-wall cabinet is painted in the same color as the wall and this is a great spot to integrate artwork and decor objects to complement the television set.
The black from the TV comes back in the black coffee table, the black hardware on the cabinets, and in the small decor objects, allowing it to fit in with the color palette.
A single print hanging next to the TV on a small wall space
When creating a television set up on a rather small wall just like in the living room below, you might not have enough space to create an entire gallery wall around it. This TV wall is finished off with a single picture frame, a black table lamp, and a careful selection of decor items that soak up the natural light coming in through those large curved windows.
Pairing a TV with just a single piece of art on the wall works great in smaller spaces like a family room, or when you want to integrate a smaller bedroom TV without turning it into a full-blown gallery wall. You can even pair the television set with a family photo to add a bit more personality to the setting.
An older TV model works just as well in a gallery setting
While the Samsung TV might be your first choice when thinking about a gallery wall around the TV, you can use any type of model. In the example below, you can find a more dated model, which blends in nicely with a selection of art prints and black-and-white photos.
The arrangement of Ikea Besta cabinets is a great idea for storing books and electronics and when you want to fully integrate your television into your gallery, make sure to hang a piece of art on top of it as well, to cover all areas around the tv.
This living room gallery wall spreads out over three living room walls for an impressive effect in the space. In between all these oak and white frames, arranged in a beautiful layout, the TV is hung up, eliminating the need for a TV stand and blending in just like a piece of art.
Since the gallery wall includes many dark tones, the black screen blends in rather well while you are not watching TV.
This type of integration will work best if you can hide away the cables into the wall, for a seamless integration into your gallery wall.
A Samsung Frame in a gallery arrangement on top of grey wainscoting
In this gorgeous historic living room with light grey wainscoting, a Samsung TV with a black frame has found its place within an arrangement of colorful art prints and photos. The round mirror adds a round shape to the mix, creating a bit of variety to the setting.
Oak Frames matching the Frame TV in the Middle of a Gallery Wall
This romantic-style living room features a wall-to-wall gallery wall including a TV with an oak frame. To match the TV, the frames of the colorful artworks are selected in oak as well.
This gorgeous apartment in Sweden (Styled by Emma Fischer and Annica Clarmell, photographed by Alen Cordic, for sale via Nya Kvadrat) with large windows and historical details in the architecture is decorated in a subtle, natural way, with a combination of beige paint in the living room with sage green walls in the bedroom.
The minimal white kitchen with black countertops has storage modules built all around the fridge to optimize an awkward floor plan and the vintage dining table fits with the beige and white color palette.
The dark sage green wall color in the bedroom makes the layered textiles, natural elements above the bed and the black accents stand out in a beautiful way and the white tile bathroom is finished off with contrasting black fixtures.
Beige living room walls paired with white soft furnishings and a TV gallery wall
The beige walls in the living room make the white ceiling and crown molding stand out in the space. The white fabric couch is paired with a white fluffy area rug, a white lounge chair, and a white marble coffee table for a white base palette enhanced with dark brown tones for added contrast.
The combination of the white and beige linen curtains by the living room window warms the daylight coming into the space. On the beige wall, the white artwork is a true focal point as it stands out against the paint color.
The fridge is integrated into a wall of cabinets, allowing for extra storage and a smooth effect.
The vintage dining table is placed on top of a white area rug, paired with beige curtains by the window, resulting in a similar color palette to the one of the living room.
Sage green bedroom walls paired with layers of textiles
