Minimal Finnish forest home
This is the small lake house in the Finnish forest of Petteri Knudsen. The interior is kept to a minimal, as the view is actually the only decoration one would need in this location.

Dit is de woning van Petteri Knudsen in de Finse bossen, vlak naast een meer. Het interieur werd heel simpel gehouden. Eigenlijk vervangt het mooie en rustgevende uitzicht elke vorm van nodige decoratie.

Abstracta sideboard
I like this sideboard from Abstracta. It has space for displaying pretty things as well as a lot of storage space. I also like that the doors are white, but the legs and the top is a natural wood color.

Ik vind deze kast van Abstracta leuk. Er is veel opbergplaats, en ook een deel waar mooie dingen tentoongesteld kunnen worden. Ik vind het ook leuk dat de deurtjes wit zijn, maar de poten en de bovenkant gemaakt zijn uit een licht hout.

String furniture
I’m in love with String furniture for a while now (I guess I’m not alone), and I’m always intrigued how the shelves are styled differently in different homes.

Ik ben al een hele tijd een grote fan van String (ik denk dat ik hier niet alleen in ben), en ik vind het altijd interessant om te zien hoe de meubels op verschillende manieren gestyled worden in verschillende interieurs.

DK3 Royal System – a classic returns
In 1948 designer and manufacturer Poul Cadovius designed the Royal System shelving System: one of the world’s first wall-hung furniture systems. “Most of us live on the bottom of a cube. If we put the walls even with the floor, we get a lot of space to live on” was the mantra of Poul Cadovius. This classic returns in the DK3 collection and I love the wall mounted desk set-up a lot.

In 1984 ontwierp designer en vakman Poul Cadovius het “Royal System” systeem: werelds’ eerste meubel systeem dat aan de muur werd bevestigd. “De meesten onder ons leven aan de onderkant van een kubus. Als we de muren gelijk stellen met de vloer, creëren we veel meer plaats om in te wonen” – was zijn mantra. Deze klassieker is nu terug uitgebracht in de DK3 collectie en ik vind de werkplek die aan de muur wordt bevestigd echt de moeite waard.
