I’m in love with the hardwood floors in this home. A carpet in the living room makes things cozy and the wooden floor of the bedroom goes over into a tile floor for the bathroom which looks warm as well. I also like the white Eames lounge chair with the walnut wood on the colorful carpet.

Ik vind de houten vloeren in deze woning echt heel mooi. In de woonkamer geeft het tapijt wat extra gezelligheid en in de slaapkamer gaat de houten vloer over in warme badkamer tegels. Ik ben ook echt verliefd op de witte leren Eames lounge chair met walnoot hout op het kleurrijke tapijt.

This rooftop apartment is only 50m2, but it looks a lot more spacious. This probably is because of the high, white ceilings and the big windows. I like the wood beams on the roof a lot, they give the interior a little bit of a rustic feeling, which goes well wit the other more modern elements in the home.

Dit zolder appartement is maar 50 vierkante meter groot, maar het lijkt veel groter. Dit is waarschijnlijk door de hoge witte plafonds en de grote ramen. Ik vind de houten steunbalken in het dak heel mooi. Ze geven het appartement een rustiek gevoel, wat heel goed past bij de andere, meer moderne elementen in het interieur.

The owners of this home took the black and white interior to the max. Everything is black and white, expect for the floor. Even though I wouldn’t choose to decorate my own home like this (I like a little bit of color, at least some plants) I like how the home looks in these pictures. It has something dramatic.

De eigenaars van deze woning hebben het zwart-wit interieur maximaal toegepast. Alles is zwart-wit, behalve de houten vloeren.  Voor mijn eigen appartement zou ik dit ietsje te kleurloos vinden (ik heb graag toch ietsje van kleur, al is het maar een paar groene planten), maar in deze foto’s vind ik het wel iets hebben. Het heeft iets dramatisch.

Baby blue wouldn’t be the color that I would think of if someone would ask me what I would pick for a summer cottage, but here it works out so nicely. In every room there is a light blue accent to be found, which complements very well with the old furniture pieces and the wooden floors. A very soft and delicate space.

Baby blauw zou niet direct mijn antwoord zijn op de vraag: “In welke kleur zou jij je vakantiehuisje inrichten ?”, maar in dit huis werkt het echt goed. In elke kamer is wel een tintje licht blauw te vinden, wat heel goed past bij de oude houten meubelen en de houten vloer. Een heel zacht en delicaat interieur.
