The owner of this small, classic bungalow didn’t want to move, but wanted an open an relaxing environment for him and his young daughter. The old bungalow was renovated to create light-filled loft-like spaces. The house wraps around the pool and is accentuated with an outdoor cabana and kitchen. I want to jump into that pool right now !

De eigenaar van de oude, klassieke bungalow wilde niet graag verhuizen, maar wilde een open en relaxerende omgeving voor hem en zijn dochter. De bungalow werd gerenoveerd om licht doorvloeide ruimten te creëren. Het huis staat rond het zwembad, en om het vakantiegevoel nog wat te accentueren, werd er ook een cabana en een outdoor keuken  gebouwd. Oh wat zou ik graag in dat zwembad springen !

The renovation was done by Heather a Wilson architect and Jen Langston (for the interior)

This is a very cozy home, especially in the kitchen I would like to have a nice dinner with friends. I like the contrast of the white and the gold and the rustic look and feel of the whole place. Perfect coziness.

Dit vind ik echt een gezellig huis. Vooral in de keuken zou ik graag eens een avondje doorbrengen met vrienden. Ik vind het contrast tussen de gouden details en de witte keuken heel mooi en over het algemeen hou ik echt van de rustieke look en feel van deze woning. Perfect gezellig.

You can see that this home is made very personal. It has a lot of character because of the many vintage items. These vintage objects tell a story both because you can imagine how they were used several years ago, but for the owners the story of hunting all these objects down and adding them into their home on the right places is valuable as well. By the way, did you see the three guitars in a row ? This is just too cute !

Je kan direct zien dat dit huis heel persoonlijk is ingericht, het heeft echt zoveel karakter door de hele collectie vintage items in alle hoeken en kamers. Ieder vintage stuk verteld twee verhalen: het verhaal dat je je kan inbeelden over hoe, wie en waar het object is gebruikt en het verhaal dat de eigenaars hebben gecreëerd tijdens hun zoektocht naar al deze mooie objecten. Trouwens, hebben jullie de drie gitaren op een rijtje gezien ? Dat vind ik echt super schattig !
