I love how Emily Johnston Anderson is able to convey the atmosphere of a room in just one picture. You can actually feel how the light is coming into the different rooms.

Ik vind het prachtig hoe Emily Johnston Anderson met 1 foto perfect de sfeer in een ruimte kan weergeven. Je kan ook echt voelen hoe het licht in elke ruimte binnen straalt.

This summerhouse is almost entirely black on the outside, and white on the inside…speaking of contrast ! The black furniture inside really stand out against the white walls and the light wooden floor.

Dit zomerverblijf is bijna helemaal zwart vanbuiten, en wit aan de binnenkant…van contrast gesproken ! De zwarte meubelen en verlichting staan ook in fel contrast met de witte muren en de lichte houten vloer.

What I like the most about this home (other then the gorgeous furniture that’s in every corner) is the open space in every room. This makes the home look very spacious and clean, I think it’s an important thing to think about when decorating a home: not to fill everything. And this could actually be quite a challenge, especially when you live in a smaller space.

Wat ik het leukst vind aan deze woning (naast de mooie design meubelen overal) is de open ruimten in elke kamer. Dit maakt dat de woning er erg ruim en licht uitziet. Bij het inrichten van een woning is het dan ook belangrijk om niet alles vol te plaatsen. Dit kan vaak ook wel een uitdaging zijn, zeker als je niet echt groot woont.

I love this simple yet playful Finnish home. I can keep looking at these pictures and find an interesting element in every corner of every room. There is the light letter and the painting in the bedroom, the pieces of blackboard on top of the fridge, the DIY calendar above the desk and the lamp with wood beads above the clothes rack. A very inspiring home.

Deze simpele maar speelse Finse woning vind ik echt  heel inspirerend. Ik kan maar blijven kijken naar deze foto’s en ik blijf maar nieuwe interessante dingen vinden in elke hoek van elke kamer. Er is de lichtletter en het mooie schilderij in de slaapkamer, de stukken krijtbord op de ijskast, de zelfgemaakte kalender boven de werktafel en de lamp met de houten pareltjes boven het kleren rek. Een huis vol inspiratie !
