By Nord Catalogue

post

A By Nord pillow is on my list already for a while now, but just recently I had a look in their Fall- Winter catalogue, and I was very impressed. I think my favorite would still be the printed pillow cases with the winter animals. To me this is very Christmassy (it’s very early to think about this I know) and it gives the ultimate winter feeling. But first, let’s enjoy fall a little more!

Diy small storage boxes

post

I needed some new storage space, especially for very small things that always lay around the house, so I decided to make my own. I bought blank boxes in the craft store and drew on the smallest two boxes with a black marker. On the biggest one, I used a strip of Masking Tape to create the thick black line. I think they came out quit well, and it was easy to do.

One of the founders of the interior website Bodie and Fou, Karine Kong, lives in this wonderful white home not far from the center of London. As in other inspirational home pictures I posted on this blog, I find the combination of the black, white and wood items, very clean and it gives a calm feeling to the home. I found these fabulous pictures on Milk magazin.

Bambi by Caroline Olsson

post

How cute is this bambi table by Caroline Olsson ? Actually it’s not only cute, it’s also very useful as it can be used as a coffee table, but also as a small dining table. The table is inspired by the anatomy of the knee, where the bones can only bend one way. The location and angle of the table legs, as well as the meeting points of the joints, help keeping the table upright and stable. When the table is folded down and used at the lower level it can give you associations to a small foal who has bent its legs and laid down to rest in the meadow. I would definitely want to add this small table to my home one day, how about you ?

Coppered – my favorites

post

What do you think of the Copper trend ? I like it a lot, to be honest. I think it goes really well with wood, white and other natural colors in a home. I made a collection of my favorite copper objects, from which I  think the copper really adds delicacy to the design. What are your favorite copper items, you would buy for your house ?

Bellocq Tea Atelier by Anne Williams

post

There is something about fall that makes me want to cuddle up in the sofa with a soft blanket and a warm cup of tea. I don’t necessary like the temperatures changing and the rain that usually comes with fall, but I love this cozy, warm feeling that fall brings. Anne Williams was able to catch this cosy feeling in her photo series at the Bellocq Tea Atelier. I think her pictures are marvelous and I instantly turned on the water kettle to make myself a cup of tea this morning. Hope you are all liking fall as much as I enjoy it, happy Friday everyone! I wish you all a happy fall-weekend, with lots of cosy tea moments if you’d like.

All pictures are taken by Anne Williams. You can visit her entire portfolio here.

Candy Collection by Kristin Overbeck

post

Happy Friday everyone ! On this lovely day, I wanted to show you the Candy Collection by Kristen Overbeck. It made me all happy this morning, so maybe it does the same to you guys. I’m not sure if everything in the pictures would be living room material, but I’m really attracted to the pastel colors. And the fact that it is candy jut makes me smile even more.

This is how Kristin Overbeck describes her collection:
The tasty and colorful world of sweets and delicious goodies served as inspiration for the Candy Collection. I wanted to design products reminiscing enthusiasms of childhood, especially the irresistible savor of sugar. The result is an eye candy, a visual feast for the senses. The Candy Collection consists of six three-legged stools, carpets, coat hooks and a lamp. Each object relates to pastries, sugar pearls and various sweet delicacies. Savory products with zero calories guaranteed!
