Stelton EM77 electric kettle

post

Danish design company Stelton just released another member of their iconic EM77 series designed by Erik Magnussen 40 years ago: a water kettle. I love the look of the EM77 vacuum jug and couldn’t be more excited about this kettle version. It’s just so difficult to find a pretty one isn’t it ?

Danish design brand AYTM just released their autumn & winter collection for 2018 and just like the previous collections, the products consists out of high quality materials with a simple, yet eye-catching form and shape.

The product pictures have a very warm, glowy look and feel, which matches their collection perfectly.

Broste AW18

post

Broste Copenhagen just released the images for their Autumn Winter catalog 18 and they are shot in a beautiful wood panel setting. I love this contrast of the minimal lines against the soft fabrics and accessories in their collection. You can see the entire catalog here.

Jut Cabinet by Skagerak

post

Skagerak Denmark just released pictures of their new Jut Cabinet, which will be available in September 2018. ‘Jut’ is developed in collaboration with the British designer Thomas Jenkins. By placing the round legs on the outer corners of the cabinet, Jenkins wants to bring a negative space to the piece while enabling an interplay with light and shade. This also conceals the brass-handles which are aligned right under the table top.

The design comes in all oak, or with a Spanish black marble top. The marble gives a complete different look to the cabinet, but I like both versions equally.

Lassen chair in new finishes

post

The Lassen Chair is an ode to architects the Lassen brothers, who had an uncompromising approach and special feel for detail, quality and form. The chair combines Flemming Lassen’s love of organic, wavy, unconventional silhouettes, with Mogens Lassen’s sense of stringent contours and will be available in a few new darker finishes (including a leather version) as part of the Autumn winter 2018 catalog.

The design of the chair is amazing and it looks very comfy but I’m especially inspired by the clean and fresh catalog pictures as well.

AIRISTO BY STUDIO JOANNA LAAJISTO FOR MADE BY CHOICE

post

Airisto was originally designed by studio Joanna Laajisto for Villa Airisto, a Bed and Breakfast located in the picturesque Turku Archipelago. The B&B celebrates the old Scandinavian villa culture and the carefree way that the upper class used to spend their summer holidays.

The Airisto pieces are produced by Made by Choice and are available in both light wood and stained black and can be used as a side table, stool or bench. The simple design language of the pieces emphasise the asymmetry in the shape of the foot structure, which is in an interesting detail.
