&Tradition FORMAKAMI JH18

post

Danish brand &Tradition has expanded their line of popular Formakami pendant lights with a table lamp as well, which has the cozy and minimal signature look the pendants have, yet has a completely different feel because it’s standing instead of hanging.

I have one if the pendants in our bedroom and love the light that shows through the paper shade. Maybe the table lamp would be perfect as a bedside lamp.

Menu Knitting Chair

post

Danish design brand Menu just released a new piece to their collection: The Knitting Chair, designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen in 1951. The chair is defined by an exposed triangular construction and a gently curved seat ideal for relaxation. The cut-outs are perfect for resting your elbows when reading (or knitting, hence the name).

Wood Oy

post

I love this minimal yet fun and quirky styling done by Pinja Forsman for Finnish brand Wood Oy. The fresh yet minimal style is something I’m really drawn to and I love the green grey wall color in the last picture.

I’m sure you all now the Spanish chair designed by Børge Mogensen, produced by Fredericia. The brand now released a dining chair version of the famous lounge model and I think it’s very light and elegant, while still containing all the characteristic elements of the original design.

Fritz Hansen Dogu pendant

The Dogu pendant light is designed by Danish ceramics designer Michael Geertsen for Fritz Hansen.  The artists’ work is inspired by the correlation between sculpture and functionality and the lamp is quite similar to Geertsen’s art with its organic silhouette and smooth surface.

The Dogu pendant is part of the 2018 expansion of the Fritz Hansen product line with several new and old designs, which all have contribute to Fritz Hansen’s philosophy of timeless design.

Degree by Cecilie Manz for Reform

Danish designer Cecilie Manz has created a kitchen concept for Reform which balances functionality and a hospitable atmosphere. The design is called Degree and has a geometric notch handle which is placed in the corner of each front and adds a graphic element to the kitchen. I think this handle solution is so elegant and the fact that the wood grains are placed diagonally is a very nice touch as well.
