Industrial loft with concrete walls

post

This beautiful newly built home with concrete walls is something different from the inspiring interiors I usually post on this blog yet it’s so unique and characterful as well. A concrete interior is more challenging to decorate, but this space is cozy and inviting, despite the more industrial character of the structure.

The black kitchen works very nicely with the concrete walls and the living area with the fluffy area rug and the fabric sofa contrasts very nicely with the harder look of the kitchen cabinets. The small black dining table fits into the corner of the angled walls and I love the way the bedroom comes peeking through from the kitchen.

The bedroom has a soft rug as well and this combined with a beautiful beige linen duvet cover and soft lighting makes this space cozy and inviting. Items like the rattan screen and the beige linen curtains going from wall to wall really soften up the concrete in a very nice way.

Delicate home with a touch of pink

post

Imagine this beautiful home without the soft pink accents and natural wooden furniture and it would have a completely different look wouldn’t it ?

I love the beige, white and wood palette in the living room with green plants and a beautiful gallery wall making this room special. The bedroom is peeking through with its wonderfully delicate color palette and pairs up so nicely with the neutral colors in the living room.  The pink duvet cover combined with the beige pillow cases and the pink shades in the art work works so nicely together and I love the small desk in front of the window here as well.

Home with a moody look

post

I love the soft light in this beautiful Swedish apartment, which casts a moody glow on the light flooring and textiles combined with the darker furniture. The living room and kitchen are combined in one space making optimal use of the layout by placing the kitchen in the corner against the wall.

The burgundy velvet fabric of the sofa really stands out against the grey walls, beige linen curtains* and the fluffy white area rug and I love the way this burgundy comes back on the bedspread in the bedroom and the armchair in the office.

The round mirror that is placed above the black dining table and chairs reflects the light coming from the windows and I love the way the small gallery wall is placed by the sofa, separating both areas visually.

Cozy home with mint green details

post

I love it when a certain color palette comes back in the different rooms of a home. It connects the different spaces. I love the mint green kitchen in this Swedish home, which comes back in the accessories and green linen curtains in the living room.

The kitchen is very cozy and inviting and even though the combination of the shaker cabinet fronts with the wooden countertop and the white tiles is quite common, it’s the color that makes it special. A smaller module of the kitchen comes back in front of the window and a beautiful dining table with a pendant above it is placed in the center of the kitchen.

The bedroom would work so nicely with a mint green duvet cover, but the pink linen one* works very nicely with the grey wall colors and the vintage items as well.

While I love the mint green textiles and accessories in this home, a mint green bedroom wall just like in this Scandinavian apartment would have worked so nicely as well I think.

Cozy bedroom with a classic touch

post

I think this is such an interesting looking bedroom. The walls are painted in a dark blueish grey, which sets a moody scene that makes the white linen bedding* stand out from the walls. The classic and vintage pieces like the dark wooden frame, the chest at the end of the bed and the mirror on the wall make this space look interesting and characterful as well.

Bright bedroom with a touch of peach

post

This is quite a regular bedroom with, yet what makes it special is the combination of the cool grey bedroom walls with the peachy duvet cover*. This combination looks fresh yet subtle and has a delicate look that is not too feminine either. A duvet cover takes up a rather large surface, especially in a small bedroom, and can really change up the entire look of a space.

Cozy home in grey and beige tints

post

I think the color palette in this beautiful Swedish home is so calming and subtile, yet everything looks so nicely together as well. The white turn of the century mouldings on the doors and windows really seem to stand out against the subtile grey on the walls and the beige and wood tints in this home give everything a warmer touch.

I love the round dining table in the living room with the grey lacquered chairs around it and the white linen tablecloth*, which makes the table stand out so nicely against the grey wall.

The bedroom is decorated in tints of beige and the bed has been made with a mixture of linen pillows* for a soft and cozy look.  I love the way all this beige comes peeking through from the living room.

In the kitchen, which has been kept white, the green pants really stand out together with the vintage folding table underneath the open shelving.

Simple yet stylish grey kitchen

post

The kitchen in this Swedish home is a simple Ikea one,  yet has been made to look very stylish and inviting. by placing high cabinets only where it’s necessary (over the stove, where the exhaust is built in) and keeping the rest of the upper area free, a lighter look has been created.

I love the open shelving above the sink with the black wall lamps contrasting so nicely with the white wall. The small dining table fits in very nicely as well and I love that the table is set in a similar color palette as the kitchen.

Small home with beautiful natural light

post

I love the layout of this small light flooded home in Sweden. The wall of the TV is the divider between the bedroom, hallway and living area, which is a great functional separation. The living space and kitchen is my favorite area of this home with it’s light palette, wood and marble kitchen countertop.

I think the sofa looks great in front of the window, leaving enough space for a large dining table in front of the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets have been extended to a small cupboard next to the window as well, combined with shelving in the same wood.
