Cozy home in grey and beige tints

post

I think the color palette in this beautiful Swedish home is so calming and subtile, yet everything looks so nicely together as well. The white turn of the century mouldings on the doors and windows really seem to stand out against the subtile grey on the walls and the beige and wood tints in this home give everything a warmer touch.

I love the round dining table in the living room with the grey lacquered chairs around it and the white linen tablecloth*, which makes the table stand out so nicely against the grey wall.

The bedroom is decorated in tints of beige and the bed has been made with a mixture of linen pillows* for a soft and cozy look.  I love the way all this beige comes peeking through from the living room.

In the kitchen, which has been kept white, the green pants really stand out together with the vintage folding table underneath the open shelving.

Simple yet stylish grey kitchen

post

The kitchen in this Swedish home is a simple Ikea one,  yet has been made to look very stylish and inviting. by placing high cabinets only where it’s necessary (over the stove, where the exhaust is built in) and keeping the rest of the upper area free, a lighter look has been created.

I love the open shelving above the sink with the black wall lamps contrasting so nicely with the white wall. The small dining table fits in very nicely as well and I love that the table is set in a similar color palette as the kitchen.

Small home with beautiful natural light

post

I love the layout of this small light flooded home in Sweden. The wall of the TV is the divider between the bedroom, hallway and living area, which is a great functional separation. The living space and kitchen is my favorite area of this home with it’s light palette, wood and marble kitchen countertop.

I think the sofa looks great in front of the window, leaving enough space for a large dining table in front of the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets have been extended to a small cupboard next to the window as well, combined with shelving in the same wood.

Sage green kitchen

post

There is something about this sage green kitchen in this Swedish home isn’t there? The green is subtle, yet it stands out more compared to a white, grey, or black kitchen and even though it’s quite the safe choice, it’s a little bit more daring as well.

I think the soft green cabinets go very nicely with the white tiles and I love the peg rail that goes over the entire tiled wall to hang little accessories and even a small plant. This combination is a bit more fresh than in this beautiful kitchen where the sage green is combined with a wood countertop and gold elements.

The round dining table with the black bentwood chairs fits very nicely in front of the window here as well and fits the layout of the kitchen perfectly.

Turn of the century home with beautiful accessories

post

This beautiful turn-of-the-century Swedish home has a living and bedroom separated by double doors, which is such a nice element to have in an interior. The walls are painted in a light grey, which is subtle, yet it makes the old white door and window frames stand out even better.

The textiles and accessories do the heavy lifting in terms of interior decor in this home and this has a very cozy and inviting effect. It also adds character and personality, which I always like to see in a space. Tints of rust and burned orange enhance the otherwise beige, grey, black, and white palette and warm it up a little for a more interesting look. I love how in both the living room and bedroom the striped pillow stands out on both sofa and bed.

Simple home with lots of accessories

post

The floors in this home are very nicely renovated, but apart from that, this place is rather simple, yet looks so stylings, cozy, and inviting because of the accessories and finishes used in the decor.

The living room has windows on both sides and combines both a sofa and a daybed which makes it extra cozy. I love how the crisp white curtains stand out in front of the grey walls and the grey, beige, and natural color palette fits wonderfully well with the wooden floors.

The round dining table and chairs in the kitchen are painted vintage models, which work so well in combination with the small pendant lamp and the little gallery wall.

The bedroom must be my favorite room in this home. The beautiful warm green wall color goes very nicely with the mixture of linen fabrics on the bed and with the interesting fabric pendant.

White home with a green touch

post

This beautiful Swedish home is decorated in a vert light palette, mixing shades of white, light grey and beige with just a few contrasting touches in the green plants, the leather of the lounge chair in the living room, or the velvet pillow* on the bed.

This light palette might be boring to some, yet I find it calming and it has such a clean look, which reflects the natural light coming in from the windows. By painting the walls in a very light grey, the light furniture and accessories stand out a lot more as well and the green leafs from the plants become the eye-cathing element in this interior.

Canal House in Amsterdam

post

If you’re anything like me, you have always wanted to take a peek into these beautiful canal houses in Amsterdam. Well, this one is certainly a wonderful combination of beautiful historic architecture, combined with a modern interior.

This is the home of Thomas Geerlings, creative director of Framework. The building dates back to 1896 and is a former warehouse, which had to undergo a complete renovation. They went for a cozy look and feel for their family home, without loosing the history and industrial character of the former warehouse.

Minimal home in a natural palette

post

This beautiful Swedish home has been decorated in a very minimal way, yet still looks cozy and inviting. I love the big dining table with the oak Wishbone chairs and the fabric lampshade dangling above it and the large velvet sofa is a real statement piece in this room as well.

The kitchen has some turn-of-the-century built-in cabinets, which contrast very nicely with the clean lines of the newly built minimal kitchen on the other side of the room. The small dining table in front of the window with the wooden stools works perfectly for breakfast or a meal with just two people.

The bedroom has a built-in wardrobe, which matches this minimal decor and simple clean bedsheets let the beautiful fishbone flooring shine.

Beige kitchen with turn of the century elements

post
Off-white shaker kitchen cabinets, marble countertops, corner layout, stainless steel appliances, brass hardware

This light-flooded cozy Swedish kitchen with off-white cabinetry and gold hardware has some beautiful wall paneling and turn-of-century built-in cabinets, which are matched with a modern shaker kitchen in a beautiful light beige tint with marble countertops and a white subway tile backsplash.

The marble comes back in the dining table as well and I love the golden rail for hanging small cooking utensils. The area where the dining table is standing is rather small, but it works with the bench and stools in this spot.
