Impressive loft home on two levels

post

This is such an impressive home, to say the least. Those windows alone are just such an amazing feature to have and I’m sure they let in so much natural light as well. The home itself has been created on two levels. The ground level has a simple light grey kitchen with a white subway tile backsplash and a moveable kitchen island in the middle and a round dining table is placed right in front of the window, the best place to sit I’m sure.

This place has some great custom features like the staircase leading up to the bedroom and living room on the second level and the built-in cabinet with milk glass doors next to the dining table adds a nice touch as well. The kitchen tiles are spread from floor to ceiling over the entire two walls and the gloss on the tiles contrasts very nicely with the soft wood of the floors.

Light palette living room

post

This small studio space is decorated in a very monotone color palette of white, black and greys, yet it looks interesting because of the mixture of textures. The art wall above the sofa works very nicely in combination with the black accent wall lamp and the textured grey rug. The rustic grey vase looks very nice on the coffee table and the grey velvet armchair adds another soft texture to this cozy setup.

Grey bedroom with warm tints

post

I love the color palette of this soft and quiet looking Swedish bedroom. The warm beige curtains *, combined with the muted pink bedlinen*, the linen bedskirt* and the leather armchair make for a very warm and cozy setting that contrasts very nicely with the warm grey of the walls.

The black wall lamps add some extra contrast and I like the long peg rail spreading over the entire wall on the opposite side of the bed.

Pretty in pink: Linnéa Salmen for Rum Hemma

post

This amazing artistic styling was done by talented Swedish interior stylist Linnéa Salmén for the magazine Rum Hemma. She combined pink and natural elements, sculptural pieces and different textures in a beautiful historic location for a setup that looks both soft, playful and full of interesting pieces. I just can keep looking at this !

majestic home with a minimal interior

post

This Swedish apartment is an absolute dream isn’t it ? It was renovated with respect to the old details, enhancing the mouldings, hardwood flooring and beautiful original radiators. I think the curved windows in the front of the living room are so nice and only a large round dining table like the one that is used there would have this effect.

The furnishings in this place are carefully selected high end pieces that contribute in a minimal way to the comfort of this place, yet don’t take away any attention of the beautiful building itself.

Light flooded home with pale green walls

post

I think the choice of wall color in this place is so stunning. The pale sage green living room walls make the green plants and walnut wood in the furniture stand out so nicely and it gives a fresh, yet muted touch to the interior.

The dining area and sofa area in the living room is designed in two different color palettes, which distinguishes them nicely from each other. While the white sofa, beige area rug, and sheepskin armchairs add a light palette in front of the window, more contrast can be found at the dining table with the black lamp above it and the walnut chairs.

The grey kitchen cabinets combine very well with the beige on the walls, the black cabinet hardware and the black round dining table here is a perfect small addition to the larger dining table in the living room.

The narrow bedroom fits a double bed exactly and I love that the window sill is used as the nightstand. The decoration is rather modest here, which makes the speckled duvet cover stand out very nicely.

Pella Hedeby for Bricmate

post

Talented Swedish stylist Pella Hedeby has teamed up with Bricmate to create this beautiful bathroom setup out of their ceramic floor and wall covering. She combined a soft beige ceramic with brass water fixtures, black furnishings and natural accessories for a soft yet contrasting look, which is very nice for a bathroom. The asymmetric mirror adds a bit of a playful touch to this space as well.

The Nieuw Apartment

post

The Nieuw Apartment in Amsterdam is a haven of calm and tranquility in the busy Prinzengracht in the center of the city. The project was designed by Ibiza Interiors to be a quiet place to disconnect, with natural tones and materials that create a very peaceful residence in the buzzing city.

The combination of the warm grey chalk walls and the dark hardwood flooring create the perfect setting for minimal furniture pieces for a simple and timeless look. To me personally, the big black dining table with the dark oak CH24 wishbone chairs and the statement rattan lamp is the eye-catcher of this room.

Small and stylish studio home in beige

post

This is such a tiny studio space, but still it looks relatively spacious and I think one person could live comfortably here because of the smart layout.  The bed is placed on top of the bathroom, which already saves a lot of space and there is a decent amount of empty space around the furniture as well, which doesn’t make this studio look cramped.

I love the small round dining table in front of the stairs and the white Bouclé pouf combined with the white sofa. The mirrored side table next to the window is very pretty as well and reflects the space and light, a great option for such a small space.

Even though the space is small, you can still distinguish different areas in one room, which are outlined by the grouped art prints on the wall. Each little corner has its own little gallery wall, which works so well here.
