Attic living room with a great layout

post

Other then the beautiful warm color palette, the very subtile grey wall color on the walls and the exposed bricks at the staircase, I’m really amazed mostly by how the layout was designed in this attic living room.

The small area next to the staircase is used for a small workspace, which is the perfect purpose for this space I think. The wall surrounding the staircase has a multi purpose as a book shelf as well, which is so fitting next to the desk.

Grey kitchen with a natural stone

post

There is so much to love about this sunlight filled kitchen. I love that the dark grey cabinet fronts contrast so nicely against the white of the walls and the soaped wood flooring. The wing doors that connect the living room and kitchen are left untreated and look so amazing (love the little wreath hanging on them as well).

The large dining table on the jute rug* works very nicely here as well and the black bentwood Thonet chairs* add even more contrast to this look.

Bright home with fresh greenery

post

The way the green plants just seem to pop out in this interior is my favorite thing. Every corner in this home has a plant, either small or bigger and it just gives such a fresh look to this place.

In the living room I just love the Japanese pendant combined with the round marble O table from Ox Denmarq. The rest of the room is decorated modestly, but it really stands out in its simplicity in a way.

I like the white oval dining table in the kitchen with the black Thonet bentwood chairs* around it adding contrast. The open shelving with the ceramics works very nicely and adds a little something to the tiled wall above the kitchen worktop.

The color of the bedsheets in the bedroom really stand out in this otherwise white space and the pop of green in the plant is a nice fresh touch here as well.

Inviting home in different wall colors

post

I think the choice of wall colors in this Swedish home is really coming together very nicely. I love the fact that the brownish nude-pink color in the bedroom is peeking through from the living room, which has been painted in pale green.

The simple sofa combined with a subtle graphic rug make the living room very light and cozy, yet the dark wood of the round dining table and the &Tradition Pavillion chairs* add a nice contrast. The green plants stand out very nicely against the green in the wall color.

The bedroom is very warm and cozy and there is a place for a small workspace as well, which is such a nice touch. The beige and white textiles on the bed* combined with the beige area rug add softness to this look and lighten up the otherwise darker palette that has been brought on by the dark pink bedroom wall color.

All beige kitchen and dining room

post
Minimal off-white cabinets with an integrated handle

All the different beige tints and neutrals work so nicely in this living kitchen. The antique white cupboard fronts work very well in combination with the warm natural stone that also comes back on the kitchen island. The beige curtains and the soaped oak wishbone chairs* enhance this beige look even more and now the only thing that is missing would be a statement lamp above the dining table. I think something with a black accent would really stand out on this all-beige canvas.

Turn of the century home in grey and naturals

post

This is another amazing home with turn-of-the-century elements, which are so beautiful. Look at the details on these doors and windows, which are enhanced even more by their light grey color. The walls are all kept white and make those grey details stand out even more and I love that the living room, dining room, and bedroom are all connected with each other.

The dining room with the large table seems to be the center of the home, from where you can see the other two rooms. The red and black painting in the living room and the beautifully made bed really stand out in the other rooms. The many plants on the window sills add a fresh touch, while the artworks and fabrics add texture and character.

I love the master bedroom, where the bed is placed in the niche between those two old built-in closets. The bed itself has crisp white linen* combined with beige pillowcases* and a grey throw* which match perfectly with the cozy area and the natural bench behind the bed. In the smaller guest bedroom the amber duvet* adds a lot of character and matched perfectly with the leather armchair in the corner.

Brutalist Silence at No Ordinary Agency

post

A little bit different than what I usually post here on the blog, but I really do like the brutalist minimalism in this creative space of No Ordinary Agency in Berlin designed by Ananbell Kutucu.

The concrete surfaces of the building are finished off with custom made display solutions in a smoaked wood, which is paired up with furniture in dark wood and a beautiful Reform kitchen designed by Norm Arcihtects with a concrete top to match the rest of the space.

Beautiful turn of the century home with warm details

post

This is such an impressive home and I love the turn-of-the-century details on the ceiling and windows, they are simply stunning. The historic radiators look very pretty as well and the fact that they are black lets them stand out even more.

The layout of the living room and kitchen is open, while still being two separate rooms. The furniture was kept simple and minimal. The materials and color combinations on these pieces while having mostly simple lines which contrast very nicely with the details on the moldings of the architecture.

The off-white kitchen with black countertops is so big that it fits a large round dining table in the middle, combined with a small sofa against the wall as well. The bedroom matches the warm tones of the rest of the space and has a warm deep greige on the wall which makes the lamp, linen curtains, and linen bedding stand out beautifully.
