Beautiful open plan kitchen

post
A minimal white kitchen with black marble countertops, chrome hardware, sage green walls dining area

I love the layout of this kitchen and dining area. It makes a lot of sense for both of the areas to be near each other and even though the dining table is located in an area without any direct natural light, the fact that it has been painted with a green-grey wall color enhances this dark and moody look.

The L-shaped kitchen layout separates the two areas and the black natural stone and white cabinet fronts are a nice contrast against the darker dining table area.

Impressive turn of the century home

post

Look at this amazing space with the turn of the century details. The windows are very beautiful and they pop out even more with the dark grey color on them. I like that the heating is painted grey as well, making it a complete window area rather than a separate thing that looks out of place.

The built-in bookcase in the living room is impressive as well, as it goes wall to wall and floor to ceiling. While the walls, windows, and the built-in kitchen all are painted in a tint of grey, the furniture and accessories are in a warmer palette, which makes for a nice contrast.

The natural elements in the living room and kitchen warm up these spaces and the same happens with the beige bedlinen and the brown curtains in the bedroom. The matt black kitchen cabinets contrast nicely with the white subway tile backsplash with black grout and the antique wood shelving warms up this palette nicely.

Home with deep green walls

post

The deep green walls in this living room have a dramatic effect, which contrasts so nicely with the white soaped hardwood flooring. I love the way the green plants stand out against these walls.

The beige living room pallette lets the dark walls shine even more and the vintage desk and vitrine work very nicely with this light and dark color combination as well.

Bedroom with a warm and cool palette

post

I’m so inspired by the mixture of cool and warm tints in this cozy and inviting bedroom. The grey green color on the wall goes to the cooler side, which is enhanced by the light blue pillow cases.

The warmer elements like the oak side table, the beige waffle throw* and the beige linen pillow cases* add warmth to this look. I think these two palettes work wonderfully well together.

Fresh green grey apartment

post

The green-grey color on the walls in this living room is almost more like a beige, but it has a fresh tint in it that really attracts me. This color goes really nicely with the white linen curtains*, the grey sofa (it’s the Ikea Nockeby Sofa with a custom Bemz cover*), and the warm tints of the wooden furniture and flooring.

I love the small bistro table in the kitchen with the lamp dangling above it as well, it’s such a cozy little area and the perfect addition to the bigger dining table in the living room.

The bedroom is small, but therefore very cozy and I love that the window sills can be used as a bedside table.

beautiful home with black accents

post

This home has some really nice turn of the century features: high ceilings, beautiful windows and doors and a round area in the living room with so many windows that let in the most beautiful natural light.

The light grey walls throughout the space make for the perfect canvas for the many black accent pieces. The living room has warm beige curtains, which warm up this otherwise black and grey look.

The black kitchen with the white countertops looks really impressive and I love how the upper cabinets are white, so as not to overload this look.

The bedroom has the same warm beige curtains, which go wall to wall for a hotel room look and I love the mixture of beige and grey textiles on the bed for a coherent color palette.

Beautiful open plan home

post

This beautiful open plan studio home underneath the roof has some great features in itself: the uneven walls in between kitchen and bedroom, the exposed brick wall in the hallway and the beautiful rooftop windows that let in lots of sunlight.

I think the layout of this place is interesting as well, with the kitchen built in the centre of the space. The open planning allows every room to be light flooded and spacious. The kitchen, even though a pass-through area still has space for a small round dining table and the adjacent living room has been separated by a graphic area rug which works so nicely with the art prints and the dusty pink sofa.

Home in a soft beige

post

The soft beige tones on the walls of this place make the interior warm and inviting and very cozy. The warm beige combines very nicely with the white, light grey, and natural wood in the furniture and the many art prints and textiles add some texture to the look.

The round dining table works really nicely in the corner of the living room and the sofa area is visually separated from the dining area by the large area rug underneath the sofa.

The bedroom is very light with windows on both walls, which is enhanced by the white linen bedsheets* and bedskirt* on the bed. The mixture of linen pillowcases in terracotta, beige and grey* matches the overall color palette of this home perfectly.

Sandjberg Residence

post

Norm Architects have recently completed the interior refurbishment of a private residence north of Copenhagen, where they combined country house elements with contemporary sophistication. Surrounded by meadows and forests, the house sits intimately secluded in a nook of trees that open up to a park-like garden that brings light and air to the residence.

The carpentry in this house is so on point and matches perfectly with the natural stone, carefully selected high end design items and a small selection of eye-catching art pieces.

Cozy living kitchen

post

Love this modest living room in a white, beige and natural palette where the green plants stand out exceptionally well (especially the fiddle fig tree in front of the window).

The white sofa in front of the window combines so nicely with the black wall lamp and coffee table and I love the way the window sill is used for books, a lamp and decoration items, just like a little shelf. The beige velvet armchair gives a more luxurious look to this corner and the gallery wall adds character without taking too much space.

The round dining table with the white bentwood chairs looks very pretty as well and matches the overall white and beige look that is going on in the rest of the apartment. The art prints are a great way to separate the dining from the living area in a visual way.
