Blue living kitchen

post

I love the dark blue on these kitchen cabinets. The light wood worktop matches this deep tint very nicely and the leather handles on the doors finish this look off perfectly. The walls on the kitchen side of the room are covered with these glossy white metro tiles that go from floor to ceiling and they make for a very finished look.

The kitchen island serves as a divider between kitchen and dining area and high cabinets are only used on the wall opposing the windows so no natural light is taken away and enough storage is provided.

Bedroom with a watercolor wall

post

This is a very simple bedroom with white linen curtains, a mixture of grey linen bedding and simple looking furniture. It’s a very basis design, yet the opposing wall makes it special: the watercolor wallpaper on this wall transforms this room, gives it texture and color. The white plant box in front of it works very nicely against the pastel colors of the wallpaper.

White kitchen with a cozy dining table

post

This all white custom built kitchen with a grey natural stone looks very pretty in combination with the grey walls and the turn of the century details on the windows.

It’s the little black dining table and chairs however that I’m really drawn too. The round shape matches this kitchen layout perfectly and the black chairs and pendant light really work together very nicely with the table.

Beige home with wood tints

post

I love how the beige color palette comes together in this Swedish home. The living room has a very light palette and has a lot of textures from the different materials there which make it look very cozy and inviting. the large light beige area rug* goes very nicely with the Ikea sofa covered with a Bemz custom cover* and the Jetson armchair from Dux.

The art prints, warm-colored pillows, and green plants really stand out from this beige palette, and the beige paint color in the living room walls, while the vintage cupboard in the corner adds a deeper tint to this look.

The master bedroom follows the same color palette with crisp white linen bedsheets* and beige wall color. I’m such a big fan of the vintage desk and chair in front of the window as well. The white linen curtains* go wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling and I love that they are just opened to the width of the desk.

Also, the guest bedroom has the same color palette, however here stronger contrast is created with deeper colors in the art prints, a dark grey throw* and terracotta pillowcases*.

Simple bedroom with a mineral paint

post

I love a good mineral wall, it gives so much texture to a space. Look at this Swedish bedroom, where the painted wall really is the thing that stands out the most in this otherwise modestly, yet stylishly decorated space.

The white wall lamps, bedside tables, feather ceiling pendant* and the crisp white linen duvet cover* all really stand out against this dark grey, textured surface, which is a really nice effect.

Simple kitchen dining table

post

So simple, yet so on point and exactly what is needed in front of this kitchen window. The decor of this small dining table couldn’t be easier: two grey J104 chairs from HAY*, a small Ikea table covered with a white linen tablecloth* and and an &Tradition Mass light* hanging at the center of the table. The small print and the HAY candle holder on the wall finish of this cozy little dining corner and the flowers match this fresh spring look perfectly.

Cozy bedroom with a built in cabinet

post

I love the deep warm beige color on the walls of this moody Swedish bedroom. The white vintage built in cabinet against the wall with the door built in looks really amazing and makes the space look less narrow and long by bring the wall forward.

The dark grey waffle throw*, combined with the crisp white linen bedsheets* and the mixture of the beige* and rust* linen pillow cases work really well with the color of the wall and I love the vintage frames above the bed that match this look perfectly.

Bright white apartment

post

Ever so often there is an all white home sneaking in here in between all the inspirational posts with muted, grey and beige color palettes and I think it always looks so fresh and vibrant.

True, an all white home might have less character, yet I do love the way the darker colors just seem to pop out of this white canvas. Wether it be the dark oak coffee table, the warm tinted pillow cases in the white sofas or the black side table next to the bed, they contrast very nicely with all the white.

The kitchen offers a break from all these white walls with its exposed brick wall. The cute round dining table in front of it fits great there in front of the balcony door as well.

Cozy home with green-grey walls

post

I’m loving the wall colors in this light, Swedish home with turn-of-the-century details. The living room has this dusty green wall color, which is matched by the Ikea Besta cabinet on the wall (nice touch I think). I like the oval dining table with the vintage Thonet bentwood chairs and the large gallery wall. This is such a cozy dining corner for gatherings.

The open shelving is going over the doorway, for an impressive effect that also functions as a visual separator between the dining and living area.

The dusty pink walls in the kitchen work so nicely with the small vintage dining table in front of the window and I like the antique white corner cabinet next to the window.

The bedroom has been painted in a light green-grey, which makes it the lightest room in the apartment. I love the color palette on the bed, which adds a subtle pop of color. The beige linen bedsheets*, combined with the light grey bedspread* and the dusty pink pillow cases* add a warm touch to the colder tints in the room and the guitars on the wall add a personal touch.

Small guest bedroom and office

post

I love it wen small spaces are optimally used and combine different functions well. This small guest room for example combines a small guest bed in front of the window, with beautiful white linen bedsheets* and a beige linen bedspread* with a small desk in the corner that is perfect for getting work done.

Especially now, considering recent events, when most of us are working form home, it’s so nice to see this kind of inspirational homes with small office spaces. You can create such an office area for yourself with a small table, chair and desk lamp. That’s all you need really.
