Stylish attic home

post

There is very little not to love in this home if you ask me. The big light living room with an open plan kitchen lets in so much light and is the heart of this space. The two-tone kitchen is small, yet the layout works nicely with the big, tall cupboard on the side for storage. This cupboard also functions as a division towards the attic bedroom, creating a sort of hallway effect.

The sofa fits perfectly in this niche of the wall, which has been decorated really nicely with the gallery wall. The small round dining table has the perfect size for this space and the sloped ceiling. Any other table would probably feel awkward in this corner.

The bedroom has a simple yet very cozy look and feel and has an abundance of natural light which is enhanced by crisp white linen bedsheets* and a light beige area rug. Note the curved mirror* leaning against the wall as well, which reflects the room and makes it feel bigger.

Beige home with blue accents

post

I think this home in a mainly beige color palette works exceptionally well. The different warm tints and many textures make this space very cozy and inviting and the pops of blue make it interesting and characterful as well.

The large fluffy area rug in the living room goes nicely with the leather Fogia armchair and beige fabric sofa. The pillow cases in nude*, beige linen* and camel* match this pallet really nicely and add some more variety to the sofa. The fiddle fig tree next to the window adds a fresh touch to this room and I love the fact that both bedrooms peek through those turn of the century doors.

The bedroom is decorated in a similar palette as the living room, with a camel duvet cover* combined with a white linen bedskirt*. The blue Tolomeo desk lamp really stands out amongst all the warm colors in this bedroom and the same goes for the bedroom on the other side of the living room. The black piano has a blue Flowerpot lamp which is a real eye catcher.

Home in beige and blue

post

I like the contrast between both rooms in this apartment. The living room is very light, with the white walls and beige color palette, while the bedroom is more bold with the deep blue wall color.

The many beige and light fabrics add a lot of texture to the living room and I love the sheepskin on both armchairs. The light beige area rug* makes this look even lighter and covers part of the wooden floor.

In the bedroom I think the dark wooden bedside table works very nicely on the deep blue wall. The white wall lamps and the white linen duvet cover* and bedskirt* really contrast very nicely with the wood tint of the floor and the color of the wall.

Bedroom with a deep green wall

post

The deep shade of olive on this bedroom wall works great in this room I think. I love that the DIY bedside tables have been painted in the same shade. The green plants really stand out against this color palette and the patterned bedsheets work very nicely combined with the white linen bedskirt* and the beige linen blanket*.

Only two of the four bedroom walls have been painted in this darker shade, the other two walls are painted in a matching warm beige which makes the whole look a lot lighter.

Cozy and characterful home

post

This home is so cozy and characterful, yet looks clean and rather minimal (on some level) at the same time. The living room has a lot of white space around the sofa area and I love that it’s filled with green plants for a fresh touch.

I love the small dining table with the vintage chairs in the kitchen. The green vintage lamp, the plant in the window and the print on the wall make this corner complete.

The bedroom is painted in a darker shade of grey, which goes very well with the vintage drawer unit next to the bed. There is an odd shaped niche next to the left side of the bed, which has been utilised with a custom built shelving unit. The textiles on the bed go very well with this color palette and the beige linen duvet cover* combined with the grey waffle throw add to this warm and grey color combo.

Beautiful glass wall partition

post
A black glass and metal interior window between the kitchen and the bedroom of a small apartment

I love this glass partition wall between this beautiful kitchen and the small bedroom space. The glass allows the daylight from the bedroom to flow into the kitchen, which I assume doesn’t have any direct daylight.

The olive green wall color of the bedroom is continued into part of the wall of the kitchen, which makes it a unity while still remaining two separate rooms.

The bedroom is very small and just fits the bed, but because of the large and beautiful window, it still feels spacious.

Beautiful open plan kitchen

post
A minimal white kitchen with black marble countertops, chrome hardware, sage green walls dining area

I love the layout of this kitchen and dining area. It makes a lot of sense for both of the areas to be near each other and even though the dining table is located in an area without any direct natural light, the fact that it has been painted with a green-grey wall color enhances this dark and moody look.

The L-shaped kitchen layout separates the two areas and the black natural stone and white cabinet fronts are a nice contrast against the darker dining table area.

Impressive turn of the century home

post

Look at this amazing space with the turn of the century details. The windows are very beautiful and they pop out even more with the dark grey color on them. I like that the heating is painted grey as well, making it a complete window area rather than a separate thing that looks out of place.

The built-in bookcase in the living room is impressive as well, as it goes wall to wall and floor to ceiling. While the walls, windows, and the built-in kitchen all are painted in a tint of grey, the furniture and accessories are in a warmer palette, which makes for a nice contrast.

The natural elements in the living room and kitchen warm up these spaces and the same happens with the beige bedlinen and the brown curtains in the bedroom. The matt black kitchen cabinets contrast nicely with the white subway tile backsplash with black grout and the antique wood shelving warms up this palette nicely.

Home with deep green walls

post

The deep green walls in this living room have a dramatic effect, which contrasts so nicely with the white soaped hardwood flooring. I love the way the green plants stand out against these walls.

The beige living room pallette lets the dark walls shine even more and the vintage desk and vitrine work very nicely with this light and dark color combination as well.
