Vintage pieces in a white home

post

I think the mixture of the all beige and brown color palette, mixed with a really nice collection of vintage pieces has a really very characterful effect in this home.

I especially like the little round dining table in front of the kitchen window with the grey Thonet bentwood chairs* and the small lamp dangling above it. This just seems like the perfect sunlit corner to read a magazine and have coffee.

The bedroom looks really nice as well with the little vintage desk next to the balcony door. The bed is made with a combination of beige linen pillows* and a beige throw* which matches the color palette of the entire place.

Bedroom with a pink touch

post

I love the very subtle, yet stylish touch of pink shades in this bright bedroom. The white Thonet chair* next to the bed works perfectly as a bedside table and is beautifully styled with the small white flower vase on top. The bed is made with a mixture of beige linen pillows* and a velvet pink one*, combined with a beige throw* and beige linen curtains* in front of the window.

If you are looking for bedroom inspiration with pink walls, have a look at this blog post.

Home in nude pink

post

I would never dare to paint my entire living room in pink as they did in this apartment, but it has such a great effect in this space combined with the different kinds of wood, don’t you think? The sofa corner looks really cozy with the fluffy area rug and I love the way an area is created around the dining table with the use of the impressive mirror and the hanging lamp above the round vintage table.

The bedroom has a very simple look, with white linen curtains* and a beautiful small vintage desk in the corner, which finishes off this look perfectly and gives this space character.

Dark dining table corner

post

I love this dark corner surrounded by the white living room and kitchen. The round table covered with a light table cloth combined with the walnut Pavillion chairs by &Tradition*  make for the perfect little dining corner in front of the window. The green plant in the window stands out so nicely against the dark walls, it really catches all the attention.

Turn of the century home in beige tints

post

I’m loving the light interior palette here combined with the hardwood flooring and the exposed brick wall in the living room. It makes the mood very light and cozy. The white sofa in the living room combined with the beige area rug and sheepskin armchairs works very well with the darker beige walls. Even the accessories in this room are mainly beige, which makes for a very tone-on-tone look.

The same color palette is applied in the kitchen and bedroom, which makes this apartment very monotone in color, but this works very calming in a way. I like the black pieces like the coffee table, lamps and prints that give some contrast in every room of the house. The basic white linen bedsheets* combined with a simple beige waffle throw* give the bedroom a soft look enhanced even more by the sheer beige linen curtains*.

Artilleriet in Gathenhielmska

post

Swedish Artilleriet just always hits the mark with their styled images of their collection don’t you think ? This time they have styled and shot images in the Gathenhielmska house in Gothenburg. These low lit pictures in the mid-18th century architecture makes for a wonderful scenery and the furniture pieces stand out in an amazing way.

Home in green

post

The pale green walls in this beautiful Swedish apartment work exceptionally well I think. They match the beige color palette very nicely and the nude linen pillowcase* and throw* on the beige sofa really stand out against this wall color.

The black dining table with the light wooden chairs looks wonderful as well and I like the art prints on the wall combined with the round mirror and the large fiddle fig tree next to the window. The green of the plants combines so well with the green of the walls.

This wall color works very nicely in the bedroom as well (seems like a different color there, but it could just be the difference in lighting as well. not sure). The wall-to-wall linen curtains* , white linen duvet cover* combined with the beige linen pillow covers* and the area rug underneath the bed really give this room a lot of texture, which is so important when decorating a bedroom.

Cozy home with a pink touch

post

The pink touches in this beautiful and calm-looking home are quite modest, but since everything else in this home is decorated in a muted beige and wood palette, the pink duvet cover* in the bedroom and the pink velvet pillow cover* in the sofa (It’s the Ikea Söderhamn with a Bemz custom cover*) really stand out.

The kitchen is built into a narrow niche and shares the same space as the dining area. The combination of grey and white kitchen cabinets is very nicely done as the layout of the upper cabinets looks way lighter this way.

The beautiful old double doors lead to the small bedroom which fits a small bed perfectly and the window sill can be used as a nightstand at the same time. By hanging a lamp on the ceiling no space is wasted here either.

Cozy living room corner

post

I’m so in love with the way this living and dining room corner is designed in front of this balcony window. I love the vintage white table, which combines so nicely with the beige linen curtains*, the rattan of the beautiful Thonet – S 32 chairs* , the beige in the art print and the grey of the mineral wall. I love this warm beige and grey color palette a lot and would maybe even add a very light beige area rug underneath the dining table.

The little reading corner with the wall lamp next to the balcony door looks very nice as well and I love the little vintage magazine table to keep your current read.

Cozy bedroom with a grey limewash wall

post
A bedroom with a grey limewash wall, gold wall lamps and a vintage dresser painted white

I think the limewash wall treatment in this bedroom works so nicely with the exposed brick wall next to the bed. The rest of the room is kept white, with white linen curtains* in front of the windows and fresh green plants on the window sill.

The white vintage cupboard, the little side table, the white linen bedsheets* and the brass wall lights really stand out against the grey wall and the dark grey color also comes back in the graphic bedspread on the bed.
