Fresh home with wood and leather accents

post

I just love the fresh look of this Swedish apartment. The white walls, white curtains* and light floor with a mix of beige and grey area rugs sets the perfect scene for accents of black, wood and leather, which makes for the perfect fresh (almost spring) look.

I love the combination of the grey sofa with the cognac leather armchair in the living room. The Pholc mobile 70 pendant really stands out here and I’m in love with the gallery wall which includes my Black Beach print.

The kitchen looks very elegant and delicate with the wooden dining table setup and the light grey wall paper. The fresh tulips on the table and the plant in the terracotta pot really stand out here I think.

The light and fresh look is continued in the bedroom as well, with fresh white linen bedsheets* and a black bentwood chair for contrast. The wall to wall white curtains* here really open up the space and  make it look more sophisticated.

Attic apartment with mineral walls

post

I think this attic apartment has such a great look. It’s always a little bit of a challenge to get the interior right with those angled walls, but I think this place worked out really nicely. All straight walls have been given a wall color, while all angled walls and ceilings are kept white for a light yet cozy look.

The living room has a beautiful light grey mineral wall treatment, which goes very nicely with the light area rug and the white linen sofa (it’s the Ikea Soderhamn sofa, with a custum Bemz cover in white linen*). I think the gallery wall on the small space next to the sofa works exceptionally well and adds so much to this living room corner.

The kitchen has warm beige walls and space for both a round dining table and a small office table. Such a great combination here. The bedroom has been painted in a fresh blue color, which is very different from the other two rooms. I love the way the white linen bedsheets*  and the mix of beige and warm linen pillow cases* stand out against this fresh blue color of the wall.

Small home with great details

post

Decorating a home is all in the details I believe. You can add a personal touch, change things around or replace small things for an updated look. I’m a big fan of accessories and think they can make all the difference. This small studio home is a great example of the power of accessories in a space. The furniture is very simple, rather it’s the smaller things, textiles, plants, and art prints that stand out.

I love the layout of the living room and bedroom, which is quite a challenging setup but still looks spacious and not overcrowded. The dining table in the kitchen looks really nice as well and it must be so cozy to have your morning coffee there.

Adjacent rooms in different colors

post

I love apartments with different wall colors in different rooms. When you leave the doors open like in this place, the color of the other room will be visible, which is such a cool effect.

The living room in this beautiful apartment has been painted in a dark grey which goes nicely with the light grey sofa (it’s the Ikea Norsborg sofa, with a custom Bemz fabric cover*), the grey velvet area rug, and the smaller furniture in white and light wood.

The bedroom has green-grey walls, which makes for a very fresh look that goes well with the fresh white linen sheets* and waffle bedspread*. The light wooden nightstands really soften out this otherwise fresh look and make it cozier.

Ferm Living SS2020

post

Ferm Living’s just released their new Spring and Summer Collection 2020 and the new products are presented in the most beautiful styling as always. Their new collection focuses on honest materials in earthy tones and organic shapes that meet sculptural lines and solid, robust forms.

I especially like their new outdoor products, like the plant box with two tiers and the desert lounge chair.

The Vuelta lamp has a very simple, yet eye catching organic shape and I love the simplicity of the Sector shelf, which might be exactly what I need in my living room.

Small and cozy bedroom in beige

post

I love the soft beige look of this slightly odd shaped bedroom. The beige linen duvet cover* combined with the white soaped floor, the brass wall lamps and the subtile beige wall color all work exceptionally well together to create a soft and inviting vibe in this bedroom.

The vintage bench fits perfectly against the angled wall and is great for keeping decorational pillows you don’t need at night.

Warm home in beige and yellow

post

This beautiful home with beige and yellow tints makes me feel like spring is just around the corner (if only this was the case). The yellow tints in the living room ad a playful touch to this otherwise beige and mainly white palette and I love the vintage side board that has been painted white for a lighter look.

The kitchen has a vintage touch as well, which combines nicely with the large dining table with the beige linen table cloth* and the many green plants on display in front of the window.

My favorite room in this home however, must be the bedroom with the cute small office table against the wall.  The beige wall color makes the white of the window and door frames stand out very nicely and the bed fits exactly in the rather narrow space in front of the window. I love the combination of of all the linen bedsheets and bedspread* for a crinkled look and think the vintage desk works so nicely paired up with the modern Wästberg Alma wall lamp in white*.

Dark bedroom in blue

post

I think I have shared so many bedrooms on here that have a dark blue wall color, but I think this tint is somehow special as it’s more subtile and faded in a way. You have to have the right kind of room to be able to go for such a dark color, but I do love the wat the accessories like the wooden peg rail*, crisp linen bedsheets*, the antique brass mirrors and the green plant stand out.

H&M Home Spring 2020

post

H&M Home* just released their new collection for Spring 2020 and like always, the styling is on point. I like the combination of different woods, greys and warm beige in these images, a palette that is perfect to get over the after Christmas winter blues.

My favorite of the collection would be the speckled glass candle* you can see in the last bathroom picture (I have the one in brown* already as well and love the look). They released a round vase in this speckled material* as well now and I love those beige and rust ceramic cups* for coffee.

Lastly, this statement cotton lamp* works nicely in the dining room on the pictures and would fit in so many different interiors.

Fresh and warm tints combined

post

I think the color palette of this home, even though simple, works really nicely. In every single corner of this space, there is a combination of fresh and warm colors. It’s simple things like the impressive Monstera plant in the kitchen window, the light wood of the furniture and the warm tints in the carefully chosen accessories that make this place shine. Imagine the sofa without the nude colored linen pillows* and it would look entirely different wouldn’t it ?

The combination of the pink colored throw (similar here*) in the bedroom with the red eucalyptus in the window works really nicely as well. It’s simple details like that by which you can entirely update the mood of a room. No need to spend a lot !
