This gorgeous turn-of-the-century apartment in Sweden (Styled by Grey Deco, photographed by Jonas Berg via Stadshem) with ornate historic architectural details has an open floor plan that connects the impressive black kitchen with the living and dining area.

The green-grey living room walls are paired with a dark grey sofa and a grey dining table that complement the wall color. The TV is integrated into a gallery wall making it blend into the interior in an elegant way. The kitchen has black cabinets paired with black countertops for an impressive contrast against the white-soaped hardwood flooring in the apartment.

The main bedroom features a dark blue wall color paired with bedroom wainscoting on the bottom half of the wall and an elegant grey carpet throughout the space. The second bedroom features a delicate wallpaper design above the wainscoting and the desk is built into the custom wardrobe setup in a smart way.

The living room walls are painted in a medium green-grey wall color that makes the intricate crown molding underneath the ceiling stand out in a powerful yet delicate way. The crystal chandelier matches the era of the architecture and adds a chic touch to the interior.

The dark grey Ikea Soderham sofa and the grey velvet area rug add a darker element to the setting, which is finished off with a contrasting wall lamp and a white marble coffee table.

The TV and soundbar are integrated into a gallery wall on top of a white Ikea Besta cabinet, which gives it an integrated spot inside of the interior, without being a disturbing piece of technology in the space.

The kitchen is built inside the doorway between the entryway and the dining area. The layout is planned around the doorway in a smart way, allowing a spot for a wine cooler on the side of the kitchen.

The black kitchen cabinets are paired with a black marble countertop, a black stove hood, and black wall shelving for a contrasting effect in the space.

A niche space inside the wall next to the dining table is turned into open shelving with glass shelves and since this element is painted white, it stands out against the wall color of the dining area.

The grey dining table fits perfectly in between the kitchen and the historic white porcelain fireplace and is paired with oak wood dining chairs that complement the white-soaped hardwood flooring nicely.

A stainless steel sink and faucet finish off the black kitchen look and give it a modern appearance.

The beautiful white bedroom wainscoting and the white crown molding underneath the bedroom ceiling stand out against the gorgeous deep blue bedroom wall color. The bedroom is fitted with a soft grey carpeting that adds a beautiful texture to the space.

The white bedding and the white fabric pendant light stand out against the dark blue wall color, which is complemented by a combination of sheer white and dark blue curtains.

The white bedside tables and the black Pholc Mobil wall lamps finish the bedroom design off nicely and the black and white art print adds a delicate detail above the bed.

The antique armchair by the end of the bed provides a comfortable spot to read a book and adds a lovely warm tone to this cool bedroom color palette.

The classic look of the custom white wardrobe matches perfectly with the historic details on the ceiling and on the majestic white porcelain fireplace in the bedroom corner.

The guest bedroom is finished with the Nuvolette wallpaper from Fornasetti on top of the white wainscoting which adds a delicate focal point to this smaller room.

The mint green sofa bed in front of the window adds a subtle note of color and the green plant complements the subtle green tone on the fabric.

A small home office desk is built inside of a custom wardrobe, combining two functionalities into one. The green marble floating desk pairs well with the mint green sofa bed and with the classic green table lamp.

This kitchen just has so much character. I love the muted green cabinet doors with the leather handles, which combine so nicely with the peg rails on the wall. What stands out the most here however is the tiles on both the wall and the floor, which have a very characteristic pattern. I really like the combination of open and closed storage space on the upper part as well.

I love it when the kitchen and dining area are one. It is like that in my own apartment and it’s just very practical and so much nicer if you are having friends over and are spending time preparing food at the same time. This all-white kitchen with white tiles on the walls works very nicely in combination with the round black dining table and the wooden chairs. Such a nice contrast that has a very cozy and inviting effect.

I really like this dark grey kitchen with the white marble countertop. The upper cabinets are open on one side, which makes it great for displaying your prettiest ceramics and there is enough space for a dining table in front of those big windows as well, which is nicely outlined by that graphic area rug.

The black cabinets are finished off with subtle black leather pulls, which blend into the matte black cabinet color.

The kitchen design from Danish Vipp has become somewhat of a design icon and has found its way in many high end homes all over the world ever since it was introduced 8 years ago. Vipp now introduced a light grey color variant next to the popular black and white version and I think it looks wonderful. It’s less clean than the white, yet not as dramatic as the black and has a very soft look to it, especially combined with the concrete and wood in those beautiful images.

I’m not exactly what you would call a minimalist in my own home. I like to keep things clean and uncluttered, but the level of minimalism in this home goes way further than that. Still though, without many items, this home shows personality I think, something that can be challenging to achieve with minimalism in my opinion.

I especially like the adjacent dining and living room, with those beautiful turn of the century sliding doors. I think it’s quite a luxury to have a room with the sole purpose of dining, especially in the city. It makes sense though as there is only a small table in the kitchen. This small table has a built in bench and comes peeking through from the hallway, which is such a nice touch.

I love this fresh home with the blue walls. The living room has been painted in a cool and light grey, which looks fresh in combination with the blue peeking through from the bedroom, yet has a warm look because it has been paired up with the wood and cognac leather in the armchairs. 

I like the layout of this turn of the century home as well, with the wing doors dividing the bedroom and living room. The bedroom has a small office space against the wall, which I’m a big fan of.

The kitchen fits a big dining table, which is such a luxury and I love the fact that the old stove was kept. This is such a nice touch.

I have been lighting candles in my own home now that the days are getting so much darker and I love the soft glow it adds to the apartment. The beige walls in this Swedish home look so well against the candlelight in these pictures and it’s what immediately stood out when looking at these pictures.

I love the wooden furniture that has been placed in the living room and dining room, which makes these two adjacent rooms very warm and cozy. The kitchen is mostly white, with wood accents and a small round dining table, while the beige bedroom is a mixture of the clean white that comes back in the kitchen and the warm beige of the living room.

Every single year, I think the best Christmas decor inspiration comes from Swedish concept store Artilleriet. They create this ultra moody winter pictures, which are a combination of a modern and classic decor, combined with high quality materials resulting and such a magic Christmas atmosphere which I would love to recreate in my own home. It might still be slightly too early for decorations but I don’t think I will wait until December either.

I think the fabrics, colors and textures in this beautiful bedroom are just amazing, don’t you think ? The dark green fabric headboard on the bed combined with the grey, beige, white and orange color palette of the bedlinen* and the brass of the &Tradition FlowerPot VP4 lamps* looks perfect and I love the way extra storage is created underneath the window with these low drawer units.
