I love it when I can land on a soft surface when getting out of bed, I think it makes such a difference when waking up in the morning to be able to feel something fluffy and warm on your feed rather then a cold floor.
I got to try out the Autumn Breeze Woolable rug by Lorena Canals next to my bed and love the fluffy texture here. Especially for the bedroom, I think it’s important to be able to clean a rug in the washing machine and it’s great to be able to do that without sacrificing style. Lorena Canals is giving away an Autumn Breeze Woolable Wool Washable rug to one lucky winner on my Instagram.

This time of the year you just have to light candles at all times I think, especially while finishing the last bits of work before xmas ! I just got this beautiful brass STOFF Nagel candle holder (gifted) and love it in my window.
This timeless design icon was designed in the sixties and is still a collectors item nowadays. If you want one for your home as well, STOFF Nagel is giving away a 3-pack brass candle holders (like in my picture) and a set of Ester & Erik taper candles to one lucky winner on my Instagram today.
You have most likely seen the Plug Lamp from Ateljé Lyktan before here in my pictures. I have it for so many years (it moved with me from Berlin) and am still so happy about the minimal yet eye-catching design by Form Us With Love.
The lamp includes a dimmer and a socket and is now also available as a USB version called Pluggie. In Collaboration with Ateljé Lyktan I’m giving away a Plug Lamp to one lucky winner on my Instagram today.

I just got the cutest paper ornaments from Arket and decorated my bedroom peg rail with them. I won’t be at home during the Christmas period, so I won’t be buying a tree either, I think that would be a waste. The decorated peg rail* works just as well though doesn’t it ?
The gold paper star garland, paper star and paper ornaments are all from the Arket Holiday market*.

I have shown you the Propeller lampshade by Fundamental Berlin when it was in the hallway a few months back and now it has been happily dangling from my living room ceiling. This brass lampshade is milled from a single piece of solid brass that becomes a conical shape when it is hung in place and gently pulled down. Fundamental Berlin is giving away a small propeller lamp shade to one lucky winner on my Instagram so head on over if you would like to participate.

I’m currently hosting an advents calendar giveaway on my Instagram and you can win amazing prizes every day. This Vipp bin just moved into my bathroom and it has been on my wish-list since forever. The 80 years old design comes in black or white and I’m sure I will have it for so many years to come. Vipp is giving away a small bin to one lucky winner on my Instagram, so make sure you pop over if you’d like to win one for your bathroom as well.
Still not used to the cold weather yet ! I have been wrapping myself up in merino and cashmere from Arket’s wonderful collection* (gifted) and just got a Steamery fabric shaver* from their shop as well to keep my sweaters in pristine condition. I love their recycled cashmere socks* as well, which I certainly need a few more pairs of. The recycled yarn is made from leftover fibres and is of the same premium quality as virgin cashmere, how cool is that ?

Last year I kind of missed all of the Christmas preparations and the wonderful cozy moments that go along with it because I was moving apartments, but this year I’m so happy to be all settled into my new place and to take some time to add some subtile touches of Christmas to my home.
When it comes to Christmas decorations, I don’t like them in abundance. No big overloaded tree for me (no place for a big tree either to be honest) but rather a few carefully selected pieces for a subtile, delicate, yet festive touch in my home. Georg Jensen has the most beautiful collection of Christmas collectibles in 18kt. gold brass designed by Sanne Lund Traberg and I have used them in a few corners of my home to make it a bit more festive and season appropriate. I just love how these touches of gold add a soft shimmer to my otherwise more neutral interior. They really stand out.
I used one of the candle holders (which normally go into a tree) to decorate a wreath in combination with some eucalyptus and cotton. I think the wreath became such a minimal statement piece and the attachable candle holders must be my favorite of the collection. On my black marble table you can also see two Tunes candle holders designed by Monica Förster. They come in a high and low version (which I combined here) and they have a little tray, to which I added some mini pine cones and dried orange slices.
On my black lamp I attached the Heart Christmas mobile ornament and the Christmas ball ornament which are both very sculptural. When they move they cast a beautiful reflection on the wall. These are true collectibles that you can have for years to come and will never go out of style. Look at the two table trees on my coffee table as well, which are inspired by Art Deco and created with graphic cut-outs. They match perfectly with the ornaments in the collection.
I will also be using some of the smaller ornaments as gifts. I love giving gifts that are carefully considered and that are wrapped with great care. I think the small ornaments make for such a pretty gift attachment and the people that will receive the gift will be able to use the ornament in their home next year. It makes the gift so much more personal.
As you can see I have spread out my Christmas decorations in small, subtile touches over my home, but I think this will change over time. I will be planning a dinner for my friends here a bit before Christmas, where I will be using the table trees as a centerpiece and I think I might use some of the ornaments as napkin rings as well. I think this will make for such a great table setting.
This blogpost was created in collaboration with Georg Jensen, however all opinions are my own of course. If you would like to know more about the brand and Christmas collectibles, have a look on their website.

When I moved into my new home, smoke detectors were already installed by the owner of the apartment, but I was so excited to be replacing them with the Bosch Smart Home Twinguard smoke detector. I had these smart smoke detectors in my previous home as well and they do so much more than just detecting smoke.
Other then warning you in case of a fire, it continuously monitors air quality, temperature and relative humidity and promotes healthier living. I installed the Twinguard in my bedroom, where I find it most important to measure air quality. I have the device installed for about a week now and I noticed it can get a bit dry in my bedroom, which I guess is common during the winter months. I’m thinking about buying a humidifier to fix this.
With the colder temperatures we are having here in Munich for the last days, the heating is always on during the day. Even though I always turn it off at night, I notice it can still be quite warm in my bedroom when I go to bed. I read that an optimal sleeping temperature is 16-18°C so I will usually check the Bosch Smart Home App when I’m getting ready for bed and I will leave the window open for a bit when I see it’s a bit too warm.
You can also define the values of air quality that you find optimal for your room in the app and it will notify you when the realtime values deviate too much from this. You can even program the Twinguard system with other Bosch Smart home devices and have your Philips Hue lamps flashing when your room gets too warm or stuffy.
All Bosch Smart Home products are connected through the Smart Home system, which means they can offer a wide array of functionality in your home. When smoke is detected, the alarm will sound on all Twinguard devices installed in your home and you can even program your indoor and outdoor cameras to turn on and send images to your phone in case of a detected emergency. In case a burglary is detected by a Door/window Contact, you can program the Bosch Smart Home system to automatically sound the alarm on the Twinguard smoke detectors to scare off the burglar.
This is not just a smoke detector, but rather an integrated system that offers so many options to customise your smart home. I like to set the mood with atmospheric lights in the evening before I go to bed (and candles too, good thing I have a smoke detector), so I’m thinking to install a Philips Hue light in one of my bedroom lamps that shows me a color according to the air quality. If it’s red I know I would have to change something in my bedroom to ensure optimal sleeping conditions. Wouldn’t this be cool ?
This post was written in collaboration with Bosch Smart home, however all opinions are my own of course. You can see all Bosch Smart home products here and you can find more information on the Twinguard here.

My home office is my happy space. Of course I’m not happy 100% of the time, but I am mostly and can truly say I love what I do. Even though working from home has its challenges sometimes, I feel like I have created a comfortable and inspiring spot where I can be both productive and creative. This is so important when working from home isn’t it ?
