Small studio home in grey

post

A turn of the century home is always easier to decorate, because you can rely on the pretty features of the old building. With a newly built you really have to create your style and rely on textiles and accessories to create a cozy and inviting space. This small studio home is a great example of that. It has been painted grey entirely and the accessories, art print and textiles make this space characterful.

A stunning home visualisation

post

I’m absolutely amazed by this conceptual visualization by interior designer Katarina Rulinskaya for a Warsaw space. Immediately after seeing these images, I wanted to move in.

The way she integrated modern and minimal furniture and combined it with natural materials like wood and stone has a very natural and soothing effect. I love the wall treatments as well and am especially inspired by the bedroom. How cool is this wall painting above the bed please?

Grey bedroom with warm details

post

I like the soft grey on the walls in this bedroom combined with the hardwood flooring and the beige, pink, and brass accents. The two reading lights above the bed look very subtle and the combination of linen bedding and pillow cases* really stands out in this look.

The crisp white linen curtains* and the white doors look extra white against the grey walls and I think the wall vase is also looking very fresh.

Cozy kitchen table

post

I think this small kitchen dining area has so much style. The vintage open shelf with the plates adds so much character, while the combination of the light wood and white of the table and chairs makes for a very soft look. I like the simple terracotta planters as well. This all looks so simple and effortless, yet so inviting don’t you think ?

Characterful kitchen

post

I love how this kitchen has been decorated with a combination of open and closed storage and lots of plants. The String pocket* shelf next to the window has so many nice details and I love the climbing plant next to the window.

The dividing wall to the kitchen has an impressive open shelving as well and I love the way it has been decorated with bottles, vases and  other objects. It’s things like this that add character to a home.

Beautiful home with a pink bedroom

post

I can’t get over the wall colors in this home. They are not that shouting or daring, but I love the way they are combined. The pale pink bedroom walls come peeking through the light grey living room. The pink is very subtle, yet adds such elegance to this home.

The painted walls also let the beautiful moldings on the doors stand out so nicely. If you are looking for more pink bedroom inspiration, make sure to check out this blog post with a selection of dusty pink bedrooms.

The decor itself was kept mainly in light colors, with darker accents in both the kitchen and the dining room. I love the light beige couch cover* combined with the white armchair and light grey carpet. In the bedroom, everything is very light and white as well, which makes the black pieces stand out very nicely.

Creative kitchen concept

post

This kitchen is jaw-dropping for the glass panelling and walls around it alone I think. Inside the kitchen blue cabinets combined with marble countertops and pale green tiles make for even more of a wow-effect.

This is a visualisation but I think this is such an inspiring place, I would love to visit and have a look once it has been built. Or even better, have one of those kitchens in my Munich apartment.

Birkenstock 1774 Showroom

post

Shoe brand Birkenstock just opened up this stunning showroom apartment in Paris designed by Vinson & Co and it looks absolutely amazing. A mixture of modern and vintage pieces is layout out in this beautiful space with wing doors, high ceilings and panelled walls. I think the combination of the details of the historic architecture with the different tints of wood of the furniture works exceptionally well.

SSM x Bruno Mathsson

post

Swedish furniture and accessory brand SSM has created a beautiful story around their collection in Bruno Mathsson’s summer house in Frösakull and the results are simply amazing. The wooden elements of the house match perfectly with the light wood and leather details on the SSM products and the styling is perfectly on point as well.
