Front design recently came out with this “Gentle Chair”, a chair in the shape of two joined arches. I like the contrast between the natural and black wood a lot. It gives the chair character and really brings out the beautiful bended shapes.
I’m in love with this Danish cottage. The decoration is perfect, but most of all I like the contrast of the white and bright interior with the black and dark outside of the house. Black and white at it’s best !
When an apartment is quit small, space has to be used most efficiently. Like in many apartments, this one has an open kitchen that goes over in the living room. I really like the bare wall in the kitchen, combined with the white floors in the living room. There are many cute details added to this house as well, like the masking tape carpet, the wall decorations and the wood pillow.
I’m drawn to this bright apartment today. I know spring is still far away, but this apartment gives me a spring feeling. It has a lovely combination of colors, in contrast to all the white. I especially like the blue DSW chair in the bedroom, it really was made to be there.
Andrew and Amelia Lönngren-Widellive in this wonderful bohemian styled apartment. Their apartment is a mix of many kinds. They combined a chesterfield sofa with sheepskins and a variety of North African objects. Lovely combination if you ask me !
This is Christina L. Jensen’s apartment, a french paradise in Denmark. She likes to take her sister and parents to France and shop the many flea markets, where you can find the prettiest things for no money. What I like most about this home is the floors, ceilings and bare wall in the kitchen. The painting in the living room is Christina’s own work, which adds a lot of personality to the place. Norm Architects did an excellent job designing this beautiful Scandinavian restaurant. By using using recycled wood, industrial lamps and modern design elements, they succeeded in combining the traditional Scandinavian coziness with minimalism. The tableware collection was designed especially for the restaurant. Reclaimed wood is used throughout the interior to create rustic yet contemporary atmosphere.
“We tried to see if we could find a balance where the interior, the dinnerware and the food told the same story, without it being too old-fashioned or too much of a theatrical backdrop,” said designer Bjerre-Poulsen.
Giving a character to a home, and making a house your home, means adding personal elements to it, showing who you are and what you´re passionate about. I have a feeling the owner of this apartment has something with Chemistry, as this was used as a theme to decorate. I really like it, it’s different and graphical. This and the pretty furniture aside, I’m a big fan of the bricks showing in the kitchen as well.
