Studio home with a glass partition wall

When you live in a small studio home, it’s all about visually separating the areas. I often show small spaces here on the blog, which use area rugs and gallery walls to visually divide the bedroom and living room area, but in this particular home, a glass partition wall has been used to really separate the two, which is even better and offers the feeling of two separate rooms.

The advantage of a glass partition is that it still lets through the daylight from the window. In fact in this particular case, the light is even reflected on the mirror hanging on the exposed brick wall. A white linen curtain* is mounted on the inside of the wall to block out the light when sleeping and for privacy.

The rest of the home basically consists of an open-plan kitchen, with contrasting black elements which come back in every area. I love the blanket on the bed as well, which has a black and white pattern.

You can find another great example of a black and glass partition wall in this blog post and I have rounded up the most inspiring homes with glass partition walls in this post for you.
