White walls and a beige kitchen in a historic Swedish flat

This cozy and inviting Swedish home with beautiful historic details (Styled by Livin Deco, photographed by Jonas Berg for Stadshem) has white walls throughout, which reflect the abundance of daylight that’s coming through those large historic windows.

The spacious living and dining room features a light blue sofa and a gallery wall that spreads from the dining area over into the sofa section of the space. The ceiling-high wall shelving on the living room wall is great for storing both books and accessories.

The main bedroom can be reached through double doors from the living room and its modest design and combination of textiles complements the interior in the adjacent living space perfectly. The beige kitchen with stainless steel countertops is finished off with a white tile backsplash and a small round dining table provides a cozy spot for dining in the kitchen as well.

The light blue living room sofa stands out against the natural color palette created by the white walls as a backdrop and is paired with a combination of beige and grey textiles, wood and black furniture pieces, and a few green plants.

The fluffy area rug adds a lot of texture to the original hardwood flooring of the room and it’s great for visually separating the sofa area from the rest of the living room functionality.

The two leather and wood lounge chairs add a warm tone to the color palette and they fit perfectly underneath the gallery wall.

Opposite of the sofa area, you can find a spacious dining table in the corner featuring a mixture of white and wood tones in the dining chairs.

The subtle beige kitchen cabinets add a warm note to the white and bright palette of the kitchen. The white tile backsplash goes all the way up to the ceiling for an impressive effect in the space that is overlayed by white wall shelving and contrasted by two beautiful black wall lamps.

The beige cabinetry is finished with steel hardware and practical stainless steel countertops that also come back in the material of the cooking stove and the stove hood.

The countertop is continued towards the side of the window to make the kitchen layout feel integrated into the space. This is a great spot for soap and cutting boards, which would otherwise be lost.

A round dining table with light grey dining chairs is perfect for creating a smaller dining area in the kitchen. The white round dining table with wood legs fits the interior perfectly and the white wall shelving used above the kitchen counter also comes back on the wall above the table.

A main bedroom with white walls and beige and brown textiles

Just like the rest of the apartment, the main bedroom has white walls, which accentuate the size and height of this majestic room. The light grey box spring bed is made with white bedding and a variety of beige, brown, and red tones in the blankets and throw pillows decorating the bed.

The art print above the bed complements the color palette of the textiles perfectly and the mirror next to the bed reflects the daylight coming in from the window.

The second bedroom is used as a kid’s room and it’s also the only room in the interior that has darker paint color on the walls. The light grey bedroom walls pair nicely with the arrangement of soft textiles in the space and the color makes the white window frames stand out in a beautiful way.

In the entryway, the high ceilings are accentuated by a clothes rail that hangs from the ceiling. It’s a simple storage solution where the area underneath can be used for shoe storage.
