An attic home with a glossy black kitchen and antique finds

This stylish attic home in Sweden (Styled by Nouvel Interior, photographed by Mariah Sahlander for Bjurfors Beyond) has a sloped roof on both sides, dividing the apartment into two main sections, where different room functionalities are included.

One of the sections has a black wall with a glossy black kitchen in front of it, which is paired with a vintage table used as a kitchen island in the middle and a beautiful round dining table in front of the balcony window.

The living room features a black leather sofa paired with a mixture of natural wood tones and a vintage painting on the wall and the rest of the living room interior is decorated in a mixture of strong black tones and naturals as well.

The black leather sofa takes a lot of attention in the living room with white walls. The large cream area rug adds a light tone to the hardwood floor, from which the black leather stands out even better. The wall above the sofa is decorated with a vintage painting, which adds a lot of character to the space.

The black and white pendant light is hung up above the coffee table and adds a beautiful sculptural element to the space. The wood tones in the coffee table, armchairs, and side table add a natural hue to the color palette and these wood tones soften everything out.

You don’t often see glossy black kitchen cabinets that work well in a space, however, the combination of the matt black wall and the high-gloss treatment on the cabinets in the space looks very interesting. The antique painting on top of the kitchen adds a beautiful warm touch and the vintage table in front of the kitchen works perfectly as a kitchen island.
