The color palette in this gorgeous turn-of-the-century apartment in Sweden (styled and photographed by Therese Jahnson for Historiska Hem) is unique and bold, yet so balanced at the same time. The living room is painted in a combination of light blue and a darker blue on the wainscoting and window and door frames for a cool setting that is contrasted by the warm tones in the artwork and the warm wood dining chairs.
The bold color choice in the living kitchen elevates the minimal white kitchen design with an island in the middle and the glass dining table in front of the window offers a perfect spot to gather for dinner.

The windows, as well as the heaters and the beautiful historic frames around the window, are painted in the deep blue paint color that is used on the wainscoting as well, making them a true focal point in the space, on top of which the subtle decor pieces stand out.
The spacious dining table in front of the living room windows is made out of glass, with matching glass details in the sculptural pendant hanging above it. The warm wood dining chairs are placed on an area rug that pairs different pastel tones together.
The arched wall mirror hanging in between the two windows reflects the dining area and makes the room feel even bigger than it is already.
Opposite the sofa, you can find a Samsung Frame TV on top of a storage cabinet that is painted blue as well.
