Small apartment with a green kitchen and a pink bedroom ceiling

This gorgeously styled one-bedroom apartment in Sweden (Styled by Åsa Copparstad, photographed by Frederic Boucari, for Historiska Hem) has a beautiful living kitchen space with a kitchen island that separates the different functional areas.

The green kitchen cabinets are paired with a beautiful limestone countertop and the upper layout of the kitchen is open cabinets displaying a beautiful arrangement of kitchen accessories. The kitchen takes up about half of the living space, with the island right next to the sofa area where a TV is integrated into a beautiful gallery wall.

The bedroom has an eye-catching pink ceiling, a beautiful arrangement of paper shade lamps above the bed, and a custom window sill desk arrangement with storage modules on each side. The grey hallway features a custom mudroom bench and you can find custom plywood modules in the bathroom as well for optimal storage efficiency.

Instead of upper cabinets, the wall area above the counter features a beautiful open shelving module that is painted in the same color as the door frames.

The open shelving holds a combination of glassware, dinnerware, accessories, and a module for keeping spices right above the kitchen counter.

A sofa area with a TV gallery wall

In between the window and the kitchen island, you can find a cozy sofa area that features a white textile sofa and a TV gallery wall that adds character to the space. The candle wall sconce and the classic wall lamp add a bit of variation to the gallery wall.

A custom window sill desk with integrated storage on the side fills the area in front of the window and allows for a spacious home office section in a relatively small bedroom space.

The two-person desk looks out on the window with a view and a small pendant light above it works well as a workspace light.

Two custom plywood side tables next to the bed are made to fit the space exactly and are perfect for some books and a table lamp on each side.

An entryway with a custom mudroom bench

A custom mudroom bench painted in the same color as the walls and door frames fills the space between two entryway doors. Three planks attached to the wall form a simple bench design with two levels for shoes and a place to sit.

Custom storage solutions and white tiles in the bathroom

The bathroom features a dark olive wall color, paired with white vertical tiles on the wall and a custom plywood storage solution with both closed and open sections provides this small bathroom with a lot of storage space.

The half-tile bathroom walls pair white vertical tiling with dark green wall color, and black fixtures for a contrasting effect.
